Roadking dumb question

I had my seat off the roadking trike which has a roadsmith kit. There were two
threaded holes in the frame, one on each side of the battery. Nothing attached such as a battery holder. Any guesses on why the holes were drilled in the frame ? I was looking for a place to connect a back rest without success.

Yep, that's where the HD backrest bracket bolts on.

do you have bag guards on your bike? I believe this is where they mount if you have them.
