Having some problems with this. Following instructions in manual results in nothing except turning on and off the left turn signal. The "reprogram code" message never scrolls across odometer.

Any advice?

If you are talking about reprogramming the PIN for you to use in case of not having a working FOB with you....below is a video that may be helpful.

Every bike is a bit different, but principle is the same. One thing we have found is you gotta be pretty quick at pressing the buttons for it to work.

Is this in your owners manual

To reset the code with a HFSM equipped bike (no button fob), you will:

1) Have your key fob near the bike

2) Set your kill switch to off

3) Quickly turn the ignition switch on

4) With kill switch in off position; will turn switch in and off twice then to

on (run, off, run, off, run)

5) Immediately press and let go of the left turn signal switch twice

(press, let go, press, let go)

6) Press and let go the right signal once

7) Current PIN number will be displayed on odometer

8) Change the PIN by pressing the left signal until the desired number is

reached

9) Press the right signal to cycle to the next number and repeat step 7

10) To set code; turn kill switch to off and ignition to off

NOTE: Steps 3 through 6 must be completed in quick succession of each other.

Who comes up with these things? I know we all want our pin's to be secure, but this requires everything except a full moon on a Thursday in May. :) That procedure did work for me. Tried it a while back just because.
