How durable will the powder coating be?

Powder coating is done in 3 stages. First the metal is sand blasted to remove everything down to bare metal. Then the powder coat is applied, any color you want. The last step is baking the powder into the metal. More expensive than paint but lasts many times longer. Im hardly an expert but my son owns a powder coating company in Sacramento.
