paint or powder coat

Whats up guys, Im new to sight just ordered a frankenstein trike kit for my 98 wide glide. Just wondering what everyone thinks, should I paint or powder coat the rear? Dealer says powder coat makes the parts to thick, I think it should be fine as long as you have someone who knows what they're doing and I think the powder coat would be a lot more durable. What do you guys think???

Welcome aboard. I like the raw aluminium look myself don't know about the paint or powder coat on their product.

The Dealer is right. although PC is more durable. If you are doing the PC on it, cover the bolts, nuts, things that you may need to remove at some point.
before you powder coat.:Coffee:

Welcome. Paint is nice, may get a lot of nicks from road rash. PC is also nice but will be thick. I don't know the process but some car show guys have had success with tint color process. Jim

Hello and welcome to the forum.
PC will stand up to wear.
There is also anodizing for aluminum, I do not know how durable it is.
