New member and newer trike

Hello from Toledo OH. I'm 76 yo and I started riding an Indian Chief when I was 14. But now my knees and legs are not what they used to be. I put a Richland kit on my 98 Honda Shadow 1100 Saber and the first test ride scared me half to death.

A bad ride

Hey Larry, can you explain a little bit what scarred you????

I had very little to no steering control and whole bike was bouncing around.

Check these 2 things first…..Head bearing…(Worn or Under Torqued)….And the front tire ‘ Possibly way too much air??

Hey Richard, can you explain a little bit what scarred you????

It was bouncing so bad I couldn't control it. I got the tires balanced and that really helped a lot. But now it's still a rather rough ride. The inner front spring on the right side is bottomed out as in completely compressed to get close to the 10" hub height. I'm going to back it off half way and see what happens.
