It was pointed out to me recently that my license plate light isn't working. Who knows for how long. Keeping in mind, the rear end on my '10 TG is from a 2012 model (warranty). Anybody know if it is just those little external hex screws that cover it? Haven't figured out yet what size tip to use. I am assuming it is LED. There is power getting to truck lid. Or does that whole light assembly get replaced?

Can't help you Andy but let's bump this up, it's been almost 12 hours since you posted.

Am I really the 1st one in the world to burn out this light? Yes, that's my way of bumping it again.:qpnmt:

Andy. Not sure if this helps, but I have 2011 trike suppliment service book. Looked up the listing for the license plate bulb. The Harley part # is 524411-95 Requires (2) Not sure if it's the same as 2012 models. Good luck. Jerry

Its been awhile since I worked on the bulb, but I seem to remember that I removed the whole bracket then took it apart from the back side to get at the bulb. The one I worked on the wire was pulled off the mounting point. But its been 3 years since I did that repair and I'm not positive of the steps. It just wasn't very hard.

So I ordered the bulbs yesterday and find out they are incandescent , not LED. Probably burned out for years and HD never checked at any service). At least I never got pulled over for it.
