It has been a long time since I was on this forum and a long time since I have owned a trike. Lord Willing I will have one this Wednesday. It is a 1998 GL1500SE with a Lehman conversion with floorboards. It has just over 43,000 miles on it and appears in real good condition. The guy came down to my offer and I was some what surprised. I looked it over some about a week ago, but just could not spring for his asking price. I guess time, space, and other needs affect us all. I guess what I really want to k now is your opinions on the Lehman conversions. It has a straight axle with on board compressor. I had a 2003(?) VTX 1800 with Motortrike with air bags and it did fine for me. I had a 2005 GL1800 with a Roadsmith and a 1993 GL1500 with a Roadsmith. I liked them all.

Sure looks good, I like the color!

Beautiful looking trike. Solid axle will take some getting used to. If you ride rough roads it will be okay for you but your passenger will hate you. LOL

Enjoy your ride.

Your going to LOVE IT. Especially because you got it at what you wanted to pay for it. Rides are different but not that much that getting a good deal should be a minus. Nice looking trike ride safe and enjoy

Beautiful Trike

You've got a beautiful trike there. Looks like the candy spectra red... almost the fastest color. :)

I love the GL1500's, be they Valkyrie or 'Wing. Clean gas & oil, they will run forever. I had the SA on my last Valkyrie trike, and really, once I found the combo of tire & shock air pressures, there wasn't much difference in ride, other than the SA would hold a curve more securely... or felt that way.

Good luck on a great purchase.

ThumbUp

Nice looking Trike there bama7 !!!!

I have a '97 same Lehman kit, same underneath, and we love it. Ridden newer ones, some with IRS, some that "ride" smoother, but love how the Lehman handles and the looks.

Looking at the picture, looks like that one has NOT yet had a rake kit install. Wheel is close to body. Ours was same when I bought it, heavy steering .... 6 degree EZSteer made it a dream.

It certainly looks like the fastest color! ;)
