Jacking the rear

Your going to need around 6+ inches to give yourself enough room to clear the rear fender when taking the tire off. This 2010 has a Tglidestuff lift on it which makes it easier to clear the fenders, the picture was taken right before I removed the rear tires.

use a 3" hole saw (or what ever size plug fits snugly in floor floor jack). cut the plug out of 3/4" wood. then screw 2 pieces (7" long) of 2"x8" lumber ,to the plug. this fits into the floor jack. slide it under the lt or rt. side of the trunk. be sure to cover 3 braces.
jack the tire about 2" off of the ground, then slide a small 1.5 ton jack stand under the axle near the wheel.if your removeing both wheels do the same for the other side., then continue jacking both sides till you have about 5' clearance.
don't forget to torque the lug nuts to 100 ft. lbs, and again after a 20 mile ride.

Eagle sounds like you have made one, Do you have a picture? I will be installing the D&K lift kit on my trike over the winter and am curious about what I will need to jack my trike up.

Well this is how I do it. To raise the rear of my trike I use a set of car ramps, which you can get at about any auto parts store, (got mine off craigs list used for $10) and just drive the rear tires up on the ramps. To raise the front up I use the motorcycle jack I used on my old 2 wheeler. Put it under the frame same as you would on a 2 wheel bike. This will raise the front wheel off the ground. You can do this with or with out the rear being on the ramps. If I need to pull the rear tires I use a standard car floor jack under the rear axle to lift that side, put a standard jack stand under that side and then use the floor jack to lift the other side. If you want you can then put a jack stand under it on that side also. Then you can pull both rear tires. All this may sound like a bit of a hassel but it works very well for me.
