I am interested in this jacking up the triglide process.
I don't have a bike to look at...yet? But the cross members you talk about are part of the frame of the bike? I have sears lift that I used on all other Harleys...can that be used under engine area to lift the rear only ? What about the rear axle? like on my jeep that's where I put the jack stands? Those JS cycle lifts are nice but not $700 worth to me at this time?
inputs of what works for you?
Thanks
Well this is how I do it. To raise the rear of my trike I use a set of car ramps, which you can get at about any auto parts store, (got mine off craigs list used for $10) and just drive the rear tires up on the ramps. To raise the front up I use the motorcycle jack I used on my old 2 wheeler. Put it under the frame same as you would on a 2 wheel bike. This will raise the front wheel off the ground. You can do this with or with out the rear being on the ramps. If I need to pull the rear tires I use a standard car floor jack under the rear axle to lift that side, put a standard jack stand under that side and then use the floor jack to lift the other side. If you want you can then put a jack stand under to axle on that side also. Then you can pull both rear tires. All this may sound like a bit of a hassel but it works very well for me.
