Always wear the helmet when riding the motorcycle or the trike and when doing my second favorite activity kayak surfing (although that helmet is not meant for motorcycles).

Yep... Shoei RF1100 or Bell Mag 9 Sena, depending on the weather.

Yes, almost always. I say almost because I have caught myself without one on short trips to the 'store'. And that is just plain stupid because most accidents happen with 5 miles from home. The trike has made my choice of wearing a helmet easier, not sure why. But thats a good thing.

Yup! Maybe without one once or twice in states not requiring a helmet for a short trip, or maybe to move the bike from one area to another at a campsite or parking lot, but otherwise always wear a helmet. Right now have Nolan modular, D102 I think is the model.

I do and my co-riders do 100% of the time (Arai), regardless of the state laws. Seen too many articles and know of too many people who did not have helmets sustained serious or fatal injurys. I understand that you can have serious or fatal injurys with helmets. However, I believe that helmets help protect our heads and brain.
Had a couple with us in east Tennessee in 2011 had an accident and the doctors said the lady would have had fatal injury if not wearing a helmet. Cracked the helmet, but she had concussion for couple of days and live to buy a new helmet and ride again.
That's all!! Just sayin!!

Absolutely-Nolan 102 full face if it's cold and a Nolan N43 I believe is the correct number when it's warmer and I need the communications. The N43 has the J & M built in speakers and mich.

It's a law down here in MD so we have no choice. Did ride one day without when we went thru Gettysburg PA. I loved it. Wife hated what it did to her hair.
Would love to ride helmet free on three but would never do it on two..

Always, 100% of the time, along with full ATGATT (armored jacket, armored pants, gloves and boots) regardless of temp or distance to be traveled. (Vented gear in the summer of course). I am too old for road rash, skin grafts, etc. In pretty well any accident you will be thrown from the trike/bike and your hide will contact hard surfaces. I want something between me and whatever that surface is. I've been riding since '67, worn helmets without fail since 1970 and ATGATT for the past decade and a half. If it's too warm for modern gear, it's too warm to ride. (and it's almost never too warm to ride

Have been riding for years and have always worn a helmet. In 1990 we went down and totaled a real nice two wheeled GW. We were both wearing helmets with snap on face shields. My wife suffered a concussion but would likely have been killed had she not been wearing a helmet. The snaps holding my face shield on were ground down almost to the helmet and my face would have been really damaged had I not been wearing the helmet with the face shield. For me, if my bike is running I have my helmet on.

M3... What kind of helmet do you wear around the house? I wear a helmet with full face shield whenever I go to a buffet,, Then I don't splash food on everyone else.

A half helmet so I can hear the wife well and not be accused of not listening. I like the full face for the buffet idea, I think a modular might be a little more convenient.

I have always worn and still wear a helmet ever since the early 60's when I cracked a Bell Magnum when I went down on my Norton. Head hurt for a few days also Helmet is just like with my CC, never leave home without it.

In the 60's i was sideswiped by a car and crashed into the porch of a home and ended up in the hospital with 83 stitches in my head plus other places. I was not wearing a helmet back then because i was cool and it was not required by law, well now i am like that commercial , never leave home without it. I wear a half helmet when hot outside and a 3/4 helmet when cooler weather sets in which does not happen very often in Florida.

Helmets are Not Cool,
but neither is Brain Damage or Closed Head Injury.
I wear one every time as well. Like the Cap'n have a half, a 3/4, and a Full for Winters like this one.

Several years ago, my brother slid a 750 Honda chopper 360 ft down the middle of a concrete highway on his side and lived to tell about it. He was wearing his helmet. It burned his belt into, burned his tennis shoes off and scarred him for life, but he is living. Don't leave home without mine.

If you don't wear a helmet (I am happy to read that most people here do,). According to four insurance companies that I checked with ( Geico, State Farm, Allstate, and AAA insurance) if you're not wearing a helmet and you are in an accident where you receive head injuries the insurances will not cover medical expenses. It doesn't matter if you hurt an arm, or a leg but if you have head injuries and we're not wearing a helmet you are bankrupt..
