Greg, welcome to TT. Generally speaking trikes are cruisers to get your knees in the breeze and enjoy the ride. Sport bikes generally are for blasting down the road listening to the exhaust note as you rip through the curves. Since trikes don't generally rip into curves they tend to be more cruisers than sportbikes. Sportbikes usually fall into the category of reverse trikes with side by side seating and a space frame ala the T-Rex or Vanderhall. A 3 wheeled Formula 1 race car. Something like this: http://www.tripodcars.com/

If you are looking for a more conventional trike (1 front, 2 back), Then you will need some custom swingarm fabrication and a differential and rear axle assembly that can handle engine output of your Blackbird. Check out this dealer of the Frankenstein trike conversions: https://www.tccustombikes.com.au/ I personally do not have any experience with the Frankenstein product line but it sure looks beefy enough for your project. They also has pictures of some Hyabusa conversions on their website. Any other TT member feel free to chime in on this product.

Check out Rex's thread about tech info: https://www.triketalk.com/forum/threads/35579-Tech-Tech-Tech-or-So-you-want-to-build-a-trike it has a lot of good general information about trikes. (More geared toward VW trikes but still good general info)

Also check out his build thread on his high performance front engine trike: https://www.triketalk.com/forum/threads/22910-Anyone-else

The other thing you will need if going with the conventional trike configuration is a raked triple tree. Search the forum for raked triple tree or rake and trail for more information. (Might be in the tech thread above.)

Good luck and if you decide to proceed, PICTURES! We Love Pictures!
