Been riding Harleys for a long time but have never used the Premium Headset that came with my last two bikes and now the one that came with my 2020 Tri Glide. Trying to figure out how to use it with the Boom Box GTS. Plugged it in and it doesn't work. I'm sure I am missing something. Is a Boom Box GTS flash required? Instructions reference a software update for older HD radios but nothing on the Boom Box. Other setting/config? Thanks for any help!

I'm wondering how many OEM headsets are out there in unopened boxes. I have two that I have never used and never will. Is there a market on Craig's List for them?

Mine is still in the box on my 18 and my 16 was still in the box when I sold the bike, don't plan on using it unless someday I will, never know. I'm sure there are quite a few out there in boxes.

All for now Trampas

I dont recall if I ever got one when I had my 2010 Tri? I know I still have one in the box off my 96 Ultra laying around :D

Still like breaking the Xmas Bulbs :xzqxz:

I had one from my 11 Tri and one from 17 Tri....New in the box i gave them both away to a member of Trike-Talk....Gratis...

ISP-FL, may be interested in one of those headsets.

Let me know, 46350 for shipping.

Thanks Rich

Those headsets are probably all over the place new in the box....They're like Parsley on a Steak......No one had a use for it....:D......

Are you people serious about NOT using the headsets? Oh my, people here would kill (well, not literally) for a set! Most of our HOG chapter have installed CB radios on the new Tri-Glides....me included. I also have XM radio installed...wouldn't leave home or a ride without my 50's music, plus how would one hear GPS directions w/o the headset. The only drawback on the newer trikes is you either have to listen to music/directions with a headset or switch to external speakers (have to read the BOOM BOX directions on that one)!. I had 6 headsets...just sold two for $40 to a new Tri-Glide owner.

I'm looking for two of the head sets. PM me if you want to sell them.

Tried to send you a PM but the site said I "didn't have permission". Anyway, if you are in Ocala we could either meet up in Lakeland or I could mail them. I'm down in Ft. Myers.

Maybe you can try a PM to me?

I totally agree. Riding two up with the wife we can communicate through the intercom and it is great. We have the Ed Sets with the Thunderclap speakers (http://www.edsets.com/) in our helmets. Much better sound than the HD sets. We use the wired connections and not the new wireless headsets that HD now has for the 2020 models. We have a 2019 Tri Glide. Also, I agree the Boom Box 6.5 can be a little tricky to learn but it works very well once you understand all of the intricacies.

FWIW...there are way better aftermarket headsets out there...why I just gave mine away to friends who ride...music in my ears is important to me...like Bose vs earbuds...js
