Harley & "woke"

Without getting into the age old "Ford vs. Chevy" discussion, I did just read where Ford has rolled back most of their WOKE DEI policies.

I had never been aware they were leaning in that direction. Makes me wonder if all the publicity Harley was getting worried them a little so they wanted to get out ahead of it.

Well, no matter what side of these issues you fall on, a lot of it will change in 2025 I'm sure.

I don't need a company or a celebrity telling me how I should feel about anything. If they both will just do their job and keep their opinions to themselves, we will get along fine! Somehow this got turned around, they should be worried about what we think, not the other way around. If we get really put out with any of them and stop buying, they are out of business!! They aren't in control, we are!!!!!!!!!!

Something interesting happened in my area recently involving the owner of our local Harley dealership. It may or may not be related to Harley going WOKE, but it makes me suspicious.

Several years ago Bert's Black Widow Harley (Port Charlotte) began a huge expansion. They built an outdoor covered structure with a large stage next to a new "Twisted Fork" restaurant. They have a continuous supply of live music plus the restaurant is one of the best around. After all of that was completed, he revamped the dealership buildings. He turned an average dealership into probably the nicest Harley dealership in Florida IMHO.

The owner of Bert's just announced the opening of a new dealership. They are selling Indian and Triumph motorcycles only!
Bert’s and Twisted Fork is probably my favorite place to visit on the weekends! Great food, bands ,beer and Harley Davidson motorcycles!

Bert is a great businessman. My guess is his research indicated an opportunity in Fort Myers. They already have a Harley dealer there so he opted to another brand. It caused me to actually do some research on Triumphs and they look cool! Not that I would buy anything but a Harley.

My guess is it’s just business.

I have been to Berts a couple times, we have friends that own a home in Cape Coral. He has two trikes down there so we always something to ride, you folks hold on to your hats and stay safe.
