Getting a new trike built.

Hi all I'm in the process of triking a Harley Switchback. Bought the bike in March this year and couldn't get to grips with riding it. My arthritis is to bad. Anyway it's at the builders at present and he contacted me on Friday to say that the silencer wouldn't fit with the trike kit. He's modifying the pipes anyway, so he has some new silencers he can fit. In the mean time a friend who stores his 2010 Fat Boy in my garage has offerd me a free set of silencers that were removed from his bike when the previous owner Stage one kited it from new. Many other switchback owners have fitted duals on their bikes, to replace the 2 into 1 it comes with. What I would like to know is can I use the Fat Boy silencers on the switchback if I change the pipes? It's going to save me some money. I live in a residential area so loud pipes are out. Don't intend to Stage 1 it.

It may be best to check the inlet size of the muffler against the Switchback exhaust to make sure they will fit together. If it fits, it would be a matter of fabricating mounting points for the muffler. In theory it sounds good... :qpnmt: Hope you can make things work!
