I have a 2012 Tri Glide with a mustang seat. I also run a HD back rest that doesn't adjust. It was on my 02 Road King before I moved it over to my Tri. They say it wont fit but it bolted up just fine. They just want you to buy the expensive parts. If it has a hole in the seat between the driver and passenger, it will probably fit a standard backrest.
