Drivers Backrest Installed On New 2017

Just installed the drivers backrest tonight ThumbUp I like the extra support and comfort.

I love my rider back rest. I have the HD stock rest that HD says will not fit on a Triglide; guess what, it does.

I've had backrest on all my touring bikes.

My dealer said either style would work the standard or the cable adjust model. Pic's of the install kit and backrest below. I did not purchase the model with the button and cable adjustment. I just purchased and installed the standard model.

The none adjustable will work it says so in 2017 parts catalog , but 2015 & 2016 catalogs say will not fit trikes.

I think that could be a possible typo but I don't know that to be true. That part of the trike frame has not changed at all near as I can tell on the 2017. I think the back firewall behind the back cylender has been changed a little for the coils now that there is 4 spark plugs instead of 2 on the Milwaukee 8. Also I think the motor mount brackets and exaust brackets may be different but the frame over all remained the same.

I just checked Harley's main web page parts search by year model. It shows the parts I originally showed above to fit the 2015 & 2016 year models as well.

The trike frame has remained unchanged as far as the drivers backrest fit up and brackets go. I do believe this to be true all the way back to 2009 as far as the drivers backrest goes.

Wife/I each have 2010 HD trikes - I have the adjustable backrest on mine and I just installed the non-adjustable on hers yesterday - both
work/fit GREAT!
Not sure what the MoCo is doing on dragging their feet on updating their catalogs.....
