Hi, Recently I've had a BKA and need to move to a trike.

I'd like purchase one that is slightly broken in. I will need to modify left foot controls.

Are there major differences (drawbacks) in the Tri-glide line over the past 5 years ?

Thanks.

Walk over to the wall.....see that switch. Now take that switch and turn the lights off. Now turn 'em on. See the difference. Kinda like night and day wouldn't ya say ? The way I feel in the '11 and the '15.

First of all welcome aboard. 2014 was a major change in the TRI. With that being said for some the changes were worth the upgrade to a newer trike. For us others the changes are not enough to warrant a change. I have a 13 with a 110 motor that I have further modified so the drive train changes don't do anything for ME. The beefer front legs (49mm vs 41mm) stiffen the front but I'm quite happy with mine I run 20 weight oil which is fine for me. The styling is more modern on the newer ones and the radio/navigation system is a lot newer.

Please do some reading in the Harley Forum section here and the TRI section. Get a real feel for what everyone has posted over the years. A lot of the differences are appreciated by the person individual tastes. Once you have done that go look at some used ones and make your now educated decision. We all have our own point of views and they don't all ways agree so it's hard to say buy this year or that year because this was changed. Probably the biggest factory change that we all most all agree was great was in 2011 they changed to the 30 tooth front drive sprocket. That made a big difference in seat of the pants riding for the stock to mild build trikes. SO go forth and read.

Trike Conversions

From the research I've accumulated it appears these are two entirely different bikes.

Are there any trike conversions worth considering ?

Awesome !

Thanks Kevin,

Now I need to figure out some tricked out Mods to get my prosthetic around the tank on the left side. Move the floorboard out a couple of inches and mods to the linkage. Shifting toe sits really high.

I like the color. At the speed of sound you won't notice the off colors.

Thanks.

Welcome to the forum!

I had an '11 and now have a '14 (the 14's and 15's are the same).

I did a thread outlining the differences I've noticed.

Wish I could help more with those. I do know a couple of guys using the pingel shifters, they seem to like them.
