Hello,,,, a while back my clutch pedal setup snapped off..... I have a VW trike with a Honda goldwing front end,, when first set up they used the motor mount areas for the clutch pedal ***embly,,, course this area wasnt set up for extreme force, so it eventually snapped off.. MY QUESTION...... on the VW clutch pedal ( origional) it has a small hook on the end of a shaft . does anyone know just how much force is required to dissengage the clutch? I was thinking of a drop down pedal with a like length acuator bar for the cable. I was wondering if an equal distance pedal and bar would be too hard to depress or is it minimal force required????? Any ideas or information would be greately appreciated. thanks Brian...

Hope you have your problem solved by now. But if not, I owned a few pre 70 beetles and it took quite a bit of force to disingage the clutch......If the original pedal you have is very short from the pivot point to the cable hook up......then it is using a lot of leverage to decrease amount of force needed to operate.......while giving it a short throw.
Have you thought of using an after market hyd. kit, like they sell for dune buggies etc.?
