Hello,

Has anyone had to perform this procedure on a GoldWing?
Don't know why I bought a motorcycle as I am mechanically declined :(, but I need to replace my front tire, and wanted to know if anyone can give some pointers...no, not the dogs either. :D

Thanks for any and all advice!

Bruce

You want to remove the front tire? The rotor cover is just screwed on. The whole thing comes off as a unit Ring of fire is screwed to it. Removing the wheel from the bike is the more difficult part. You can slide it out from the brake caliper but ( Do not touch ) any brakes front or rear levers once you remove the wheel.

just looked at mine. look at the side of the front fender. You will see a seam right in the middle of the fork. that rear piece comes off. go slow as you pull it off. also you need to take the speedometer cable off the bottom of the axle that is done with the little screw in the side of the drive . Once the side covers are removed you will see the screws that hold the Disk ?ring of fire on. It slides forward out of the rear housing.

Thanks for the information John! :)

I'll be taking a trip up to Austin this weekend, but when I get back to San Antonio, I will be working on replacing my front tire. Want to make sure I am good to go for WingDing 09' in Tulsa, OK

Hope to see some of you there!!

Bruce
