Average age of riders

JUST Turned 58 on Nov. 25th! Been Riding Now for, FIFTY Years! Owned Almost everything there is out there, (Normal type Bikes, Nothing Real Exotic, or REAL Expensive.....) at one time or another. Used to put 25-30,000 Miles a Year on the Bike(s), besides what Other Vehicle I'd have, then eventually got down to 25-30,000 Kilometres a year, until about 6, 7, Maybe 8 years ago, (I Kinda forget....) I had a Stroke that Slowed me Down, Then a Knee replacement that Didn't work out, then a Hip Replaced in March, 2013, that DID Work, and a New Knee in the other leg (Nov. 1, 2013,) that, So FAR, has Worked. Thinking I MIGHT not get that First knee replacment Re-Done IF I can do that. Would be Nice to get that, "LOVE to Ride Feeling BACK," IF I can..........

Just turned 67, been riding for 45 years, all on 2 wheels. Rode to 20+ states, Canada and Mexico on my bikes over the years. Now have a bad knee and hip and have ordered my trike kit from CSC for my Yamaha StratoLiner. Mitchell Motorsports here in Texas will put it all together for me and I hope to have it in my garage by Christmas.
Ride often and ride safe..........

61 years old been riding for 47 years. We ride a 2000 Yamaha Royal Star Venture. Going to build my own trike kit or use a American trike kit. I found a trike body it looks like a Lehman. I have had and built many VW fiberglass body trikes.

Bought my first scoot in 1964. Been on them ever since. Going strong at 65 this month. Recently bought a trike for the wife's comfort. But it will be a while before I completely give up the Road King.

Ok, someone else brought this subject up.
Let's see what the average age of our riders is on the forum.......
I will start out. I'm 69 and ride a homebuilt trike.

I started riding cycles at the age of 13 and now that I'm 71 decided to try a 2002 Valkyrie powered Roadsmith. Began riding the trike Wednesday and have to say that it's a bit different but great fun...

I didn't look through all 51 pages, but I'm guessing that I'm one of the youngest. I just turned 43 and have been on my 2013 Tri-Glide. Been riding since 2006 when I bought a Sportster after my wife made me sell the 4 wheeler that I tore my shoulder up on. Wife started riding with me in 2011 when I traded the Sportster for a Softail Deluxe. I had an alterior motive when I got my trike, my wife wants to learn to ride, but is afraid to try on 2 wheels so I got 3 so she can learn. I will probably go back to a bike when finances allow, or maybe not.

I was in my 20's when i started trikes, I wanted something different to bikes and in my mind a hair safer,
As my balance got worse from inner ear issues i lost interest in 2 wheels,
I am now 49 seems on the young side of most of you cats,

55 and pushing 56. :xzqxz:

Running a custom made 2011 VW trike. Reason I decided to go with a trike was overall age and balance. Just isn't what it once was.

I'm pushing 61 and hubby is 77.

We're both driving 2008 Gold Wing trikes, 1 with Lehman Monarch II and 1 with Motor Trike Adventure kit.

We went to 3 wheels when hubby had a brush with cancer then a heart attack.
We both REALLY like the trikes - keeps us out there instead of on the porch!

63 and still working. Yep, it sucks.
1999 Honda GL1500SE with a California Side Car kit (2001) and a Hannigan Sierra trailer. 91K miles. Can't wait for spring, wife and I are heading down to East Tennessee in May
