My 02 Road King has been leaking transmission fluid from either the main seal or shifter shaft, now i have done this job about 15 years ago when i didn't have arthritis in my hands and it wasn't all that bad.But now my hands just dont work the way they used to so gonna farm it out and the HD shop that i use for warranty work is shut down but the master tech is layed off and working out of his shop at home.I have known him for more than 20 years a consider him a friend so going to let him do it for me,having a new belt installed and a back tire while i'm at it.Doing my part to support our local folks during this Covid 19 BS. Putting a belt for side car use on it,they are more heavy duty than a standard belt.

ThumbUpThumbUp....................

I never look to see if the light has changed, I just wait for the helpful friendly people behind me to let me know the light turned green by blowing their horn .:D

I have done that job before also Steve , but you made a wise decision to have someone else do it. I wont do it again at my age either. More than likely is the drive seal & not the shifter. I still have all those tools for that job. Last used in 04 when I put a Baker 6 spd in the 03 5 spd. May be antique now , lol

It probably is the main seal but when that far in makes no sense to not replace everything including the quad seal and the inner primary seal.
