On an older, non water cooled Tri yes. Not so on the newer models. Watercooled heads are a pita. H-D needs a better system. Unless they've fixed the issues on the new MY, I'll trike the FLHX. With my long distance touring days behind me, I don't need the extra capacity. I sure as hell don't want a tour pack catching my foot during mount/dismount.
