A Day in The Life - 2025

Since it is still too cold for me to ride (33 F) and we now have a forecast for more snow next week....
Question for everyone: How many of you have ridden on the street in the snow? Not just playing around, but either been on a trip, or commuting, thru the snow?
Was it on 2 wheels or 3?
Kevin
Not since I was in my late teens and my '69 Bonneville was my only means of transportation. I'd use my feet as outriggers and head into town.

Had about 2 hours today that I could devote to the bike room reno.

First upper cabinet installed-

Had to put some blocking in for the smaller cabinets. Installing the 2nd upper cabinet (using screws, not nails)-

First Four upper cabinets installed.

Mary and I have been working on our trip planning for 2025.

We have been wanting to get back to Western Canada since before Covid. We really thought this year would be the year.

But we are having a difficult time trying to fit it in with various other obligations we have.

It might not be happening, again, this year.

These are just two photos, taken while riding, from our last trip up there of how amazing the views are:

Mary and I have a few times. Below are a couple of photos when we were traveling in August thru Wyoming and rode thru blizzard on a mountain pass in Wyoming.

This is snow in the air in this photo, not rain-

These two photos are after we descended out of the mountain pass-

There used to be an Easy Rider Show in Columbus, Ohio each year around Valentine's Day. We would ride back and forth on two wheels from Dayton, Ohio. A few times it was pretty nasty getting home at night in the snow. One time the throttle froze up. That trip was exceptionally exciting.

Can't even imagine that! You gotta have some great/interesting memories from those days!

It rained yesterday afternoon, then last night that froze into a skating rink, then we got about 2 inches of snow sitting on top of that ice....

...I was scheduled to be at the shop today, but, even taking Mary's truck with street tires on it, was just not going to happen...

There are accidents blocking the roads between here and there from folks not being used to this kind of weather.

I know for many up north this kind of weather is not that big of a deal, but we just are not set up for it in the south.

Tomorrow I should be able to make the 90 mile round trip.

Had about an hour today...

1st step was to get all the stuff off the bike lift-

Bike%20Lift%20Covered.jpg

Poof, gone, it took less than have the cabinet space-

Last thing was to get the countertop away from the workbench, so I can put more cabinets above the work bench.

Done!

When I have some more free time, more upper cabinets will be installed above the workbench.

After that, the real work begins. I have 7 shelves that need to be emptied, then the shelves removed, then the lower cabinets installed, then the countertop, then the upper cabinets installed.

I will then be repositioning the bike lift, and it will be a whole new experience working in there!

Right now it is a Giant game of Tetris. :D

Looking down right civilized. I love projects like this.

If you've watched some of the videos we've made, you may have noticed a variety of different backgrounds.

Some of them pretty fancy. I wish many of them were real, there are some very nice shops. :icon_bike:

Those high dollar looking shops are really just this-

I have to fly to the west coast for a family emergency. Not sure how long I will be there, nor how often I will be able to post.

I believe I will be able to here and there. But there will not be a post everyday until I get back.

I will pray that every thing goes well

Kevin,
What camera and lighting do you use? And what software works best for use with your greenscreen?
