A Day in the Life...

Best of luck to you and Mary
It has been a month since our Stem Cell treatments.

It definitely has helped Mary's knee & hip, quite a bit. It also helped my knee quite a bit.

It has had little benefit so far for my shoulder.

We were told that the improvements continue getting better up to the 6 week mark, then pretty much hold there forward.

I am hoping it will give me some shoulder relief over the next couple of weeks. We will see.

It has been 6 weeks now since our stem cell treatments.

It has worked amazingly well for Mary's knee and hip. Improvement has been 85-90%, which is fantastic.

It has worked very well on my knee, probably in the 75-80% range.

We are both very happy with the results above. Much less expensive than surgery, no recovery time as there would be from surgery. No pain in the procedure, just a healthy improvement.

Regarding my shoulder, there has been improvement, somewhere in the 25-30% range. While this is an improvement, it still leaves me with pain 24/7 in my shoulder, just a little bit less than it was previously.

To be fair, the doctor said that my shoulder was messed up enough that I should really have a stronger stem cell treatment for it. (stem cells taken from the bone marrow instead of the blood).

The bone marrow stem cell procedure is 5-6 times as expensive as the stem cells taken from the blood, plus it is a multi day process, and there is some recovery after they harvest the stem cells from the bone.

I chose not to do that...not sure if I will choose to do that at some point in the future or not. I have lived with the pain/limited movement for over 10 years, so with a little less pain now, if it does not get worse, I will probably wait and see how the technology evolves over the next few years.

This March has been on average cooler than this February was, The last time that happen was in 1960....🤷
Off subject but I just wanted to say that I once smoked a "Cubana" that was given to me and I gotta say, I have never had a cigar like that before or since. I went to a nice steak house for dinner and then set outside the motel room and smoked that cigar, damn! That was a 50 dollar cigar back then [probably 25 years ago] I have no idea what it would be now if you can even get one now. Actually, I quit smoking about 15 years ago but I have never forgot that Cubana !!! OK, back to trikes now.

Monte Christo #2s. Real ones, not the Dominican copies...I used to "have a guy", but he died 3 years ago. 😕

Contrary to what the doctor said, I have continued to see improvement in my shoulder, all the way thru 10-11 weeks after the stem cell treatment. It is now at about 50% improved, and it seems to have leveled out and is holding there.

Hopefully it will stay improved for years to come. We are both please with the benefits we received for the money spent.

Glad to hear of the improvement in your shoulder!
Prayers for continued improvement!!

I don’t think I’ve seen you mention this, but talk with @Papa Zook on the 9 degree rake kit. It really IS that good!!
It’s so much better on the shoulders and so much easier to steer.
I had rotator cuff surgery 2 years ago (bad injury) … I think I plateaued about 60% and the other shoulder may be in the future at some point.
So I pulled the trigger for any comfort I can do now I’m on three wheels… I’m really shocked that the rake kit helps as great as it does. Totally exceeded my expectations!

Keep getting better!!! 👍🏻👍🏻
We’ll keep an eye on the threads including the new one for 2025.

Yes, that is something I may do, the rake kit. My steering on the TG is pretty easy between my handlebar placement and better geometry of how I have the bike set up.

However, I do know with the rake kit the steering would be even easier.

Thank you,

Kevin

I like the handlebars that came on my 24 TG. That's a first for me, I usually change my bars first thing, but I actually like these. And they keep my hands behind the fairing [warmer]. I also don't find it hard to steer at all. I'm ok with the ride also and it seems to have plenty of power which is also another first for me! Maybe I'm just getting old and don't give a shxt as long as I'm in the wind LOL!!!!!

Good to see you back on this thread. I do recall those days when you and the Mrs traveled a lot pulling HD trike on the trailer, think you had a camper of sorts. In my mind that goes back a minute.
