I just finished my 25,000 mile service, had to replace steering head bearings and wheel bearing. Also found RR rotor warped , replaced it and brakes all around. I also add a new front tire. I now notice at 30mph I have a vibration that I can feel in the hand grips. I took the whole front end down again and rechecked all new parts and torque setting while going back together. Vibration is still there looking for ideas....

Tony..........Welcome to Trike-Talk......:wave4:

On the vibrations....Head bearing might not be Torqued down enough....

Also could be the new tire....Does the vibration go away over 35 mph..?

Welcome to Trike Talk and your first post. I would suspect something is up with the new front tire. Here is a quick check for checking how true your tire runs. Jack up the front of trike, if your floor is level, place a can or bottle on each side of the front wheel. Spin the wheel and watch for any high spots and lateral movement before having the tire rebalanced

Hi Tonyz! Welcome to TrikeTalk from the Texas Hill Country!

Keep an eye out for threads that have KERRVILLE in them...we usually have a TrikeTalk gathering here each year...but not 2020 due to all the goings-on. We will be shooting for 2021. Everyone is welcome.

Yes it does and just in case it was the tire I got a 2nd one and still have the problem, everything on the front was torque down per Harley shop manual ( which I buy when I get something new to ride or drive) but I will go back and retorque the steering head. just to be on the safe side.

Michelin commander 3 tire

So did a 25,000 mile service and replace front tire and ended up with a vibration at around 30 miles an hour, torn down front end check and replaced steering head bearings, front wheel bearing, put back together and still had problem had tire rebalanced still there. Now turns out that there is an issue with the Michelin commander 3 tire that I installed. I have checked a couple of other forums and others are having the same problems. Anyone on here having this issue with this tire???

There’s been a lot of chatter about those tires on a few forums 😱.Me’ When i needed tires on one of my Tri-Glides (14+k on the front 45k and still good on the rear when I traded it in).. I just get another stock Harley tire.. I stopped trying to reinvent the wheel years ago ...

I agree. I've ALWAYS replaced my tires on all my Harleys with OEM Dunlops.

I have a much smoother ride with, Avon 91 on the front & Goodyear Comfortred on the rear. Dunflops are gone, never to return. :clapping:
