I got tired of the clunking, I have tried many transmission lubes over the years, I have had good luck with Spectro 6 speed fluid , Bel Ray, and Redline
I tried Formula + once again but the clunk and fuzz on the magnet was still there
Enter the HD Heavy 80/140, nice smooth shifts again, it clicks into gear similar to Metric transmissions, Stella is happy again( side note, I had already tested the Heavy earlier, but to be fair I also tried the above mentioned fluids also

Hey Jack,

I too have tried the new HD Heavy 80/140 in the transmission and have been very happy with it.

Did you find it better than the Redline? I am not sure I can tell a difference between the two.

After years of various brands I’ve settled on Amsoil and their specific fluids for the three holes and their oil filters. Joining their preferred customer program is inexpensive and offers significant discounts and free shipping is easy to obtain. Saves time and frustration of seeking specific products and is very competitive.

Personally I run Syn 3 in engine , HD gear oil in Primary and trans . Engine oil changed every 2500k primary every 5 k and trans every 10k .
Most important things are using oil for air cooled MC , keeping it at proper level and changing it regular

Mobil 1 synthetic gear lube 75w-140 for the tyranny or Amsoil severe gear lube same weight for tranny. Amsoil or Mobil 1 for engine, HD Formula + for primary
