Oil filters for GL1800s

Quite a few years ago gold wings were having problems with oil filters. The cheapos were put together with hot melt glue. The glue would melt when the engine got hot. Then it would solidify in the oil passages over night. Ruined engine on start up.

Being in the GL1800 repair business, for me, I enjoy sharing my experiance of what to do and what not to do. But here's the best part. Because some have their own beleifs, and I'm fine with that, I also know that financially the rewards of "them" having such beleifs are in my favor :)

Thanks Gregg,

OEM filters for me 100% of the time....

and I'm an oil changeOHLIC.....................

I have not had my wing long so your advice is always welcome, I have only used Honda oil and filters since I got it but I am always interested in what others recommend.

Humm ... somehow that does not make sense. It's like saying a burger from McDs is the same as the one they sell at OutBack.

If you look at the wink wink :)😉😉 Smiley's my post was sarcastic…👍.. I used to drive the DI’ from the other United States crazy (You know the ones with a fascination for Jody) With my New York sarcasm …😁..
