Rode mine in the snow to drop it off at the shop for new handle bars, grips and a few other things. I went with the KW 2+2 wide sweepers and ISO grips. I think I'll have a much more comfortable ride when I get it back.

rear brakes
I'm going to replace the rear brake pads on my 2016 Triglide while I have it on the lift for the axle bearing retaining plate upgrade. They should be here from J&P today. Question: once the parking brake is loose and the cap is off the rear brake reservoir, should the rear brake piston be pushed back flush with the housing or does it stick out a 16th of an inch or so? The manual doesn't state which. I don't want to force it flush if that's not the way it should be. Thanks.

Just me but if the pads will go on Without making the piston flush i will leave it sticking out a little...

If you can fit the caliper with new pads loaded you should be good to go. If not suck some fluid out of the master before you push the pistons in. You should do a flush of the rear brake fluid no matter which way you do the rear brakes.

As you can see there were no business operations at LEH-D on Chester Road in Avon, OH after May 2, 2020.
I picked mine up today from having the KW 2+2 Wide sweepers installed and Kuryakan ISO grips installed. All I can say is it's like riding a different trike. No pain and no fatigue by the time I got home. I can sit up straight and more comfortable. My arms are more relaxed and no tingling or numbness. I don't even have to lean forward to turn tight corners like before. I can sit upright in the saddle and turn lock to lock. Amazing upgrade.
The ISO grips came with the throttle boss which was no big deal since it's easily removed. I don't think I will take it off. I actually liked it on the ride home more than I thought I would. So it just turned out to be a bonus.
I can't wait for the weather to clear up ( rain and snow for the next few days) so I can ride my ass off, LOL.
They did find this in the fairing. No wires were harmed so all is good.

Ha! 55 degrees here today so I went for a little 60 mile putt around the county. Didn't have a particular route in mind just turned on to a couple different roads I knew of and then turned off on to some I've never been on. Found some interesting two lane county roads with some nice twists and turns. Nice thing is being able to tell the gps to take me home as I was in some unfamiliar territory toward the end of my little adventure.

Was this a Harley dealer that install them for you? And would you mind if I asked you what they charge you for installing them?
Local Indie shop. $275 for the install of bars and grips, $130 for the bars, $18 for wire extensions and $89 for the grips plus tax.
I didn't think it was too bad.

I would say that was a real good deal on the labor.

Picked up a "trunk guard" at the dealers and installed it. Was a very easy item to add to the trike, took about 1/2 hour, trike was already on the lift tho.

Yep, we've had a few days, here and there that have been warmish, relatively speaking. Alas, I have been working 7 days a week since the beginning of the year. Only riding being done is to the shop and back. :xzqxz:

Three hour ride to Gila Bend, Gillespie Dam and back home.
I got my new Freedom Shields 10" touring width windshield in today. I installed it and went for a short ride. I came back home, peeled the plastic off and rode for 2 hours to unwind and relax. Yeah, John ain't getting this shield back. It is so much warmer behind it than the Cee Bailey that came on it. I can hear the radio much better too. I did notice now just how much wind comes up from the my lowers though, although it was pretty windy today.
I'm deciding whether to ride tomorrow and Saturday or go ahead and take it to the shop to get the mechanical reverse installed.

Took the Tri out to pickup lunch and then bring it over to my Granddaughter.. First time i drive it since the snow storm, And it amazes how it gos up my driveway what with the snow and ice still on it....When i use my truck if i don't put it in 4 wheel drive it will just spin the tires and sit there...
Winter Changes
Sherman is currently getting KhromeWerks 2+2 Narrows installed. Also having a MT mechanical reverse installed. Last week I installed the mounting bracket for a backrest. I have a new pair of driving lights in the garage. I am looking at installing the oil filter relocator. Should do it for this winter.

Mine is at my indy shop right now getting the MT mechanical reverse installed and the 25k service done. The worst part is I've had 2 days at least I could've rode since it's been in there.
I’ll be picking it up tomorrow. Reverse installed, full fluid and filter change and 25k service. It’s ready to roll for clearer weather. $685 for everything, taxes included. Gotta love Indy shops.

No. I purchased it on my own for about $1300 with a promo. That only includes all labor, fluids and filter. The install labor was $450, fluid change was $175 including all oils and then tax. 25k Service and inspection was included with the rest of the work. They are good about combining work when able to reduce costs to the customer.

I have old Shiney covered but soon I'm starting the radio and speakers swap. Lots of time to complete this project.
She's back home. Left the house at 10 and got there about 11. Went over everything about the mechanical reverse and headed out. Got home about 4 this evening. I really needed that. It was only 32 degrees, a heat wave for sure.
My wife took some pics while I was working with the reverse.
Now I just need the rain, sleet and snow to get done so I can ride some more.
