What did you do to Your Tri-Glide Today?

Went for breakfast about 35 miles from home at 8:30 in the morning, got home at 3:00 PM after 147 miles, lol. It was 55 degrees when we left, jacket and gloves on, by the time we got home it was 85 and we were sunburned pretty bad from wearing short sleeves, dumba$$ for sure.

Gary I should be so lucky LOL... Travel safe and use sun screen LOL Fred

Yeah guys, we usually screen up all the time, it's been so chilly this winter we haven't worn short sleeves since about Christmas, didn't even think about it. We usually have sunscreen in the bike but when we had a couple of really cold nights we brought it in the house so it wouldn't freeze.

Heading to the garage

Ordered my oil filter relocation kit on Wednesday afternoon. It was shipped on Thursday morning. The UPS truck just pulled away from my house. That's fast service:D. I am heading to the garage:D. Time to break out the wrenches:D. Perfect day for it. We are getting a bunch of rain and it is on the cooler side.

Do the bags interfere with the passenger much and how do you like the lower fairing lights? I've considered both of these "enhancements". Lol.

bags have no impact on my passenger (wife) . The lights are amazing . So many positive compliments on them so far and they have a lifetime warranty ( custom dynamics) .

Finished installing oil filter relo kit this morning.

Changed out my coolant. Took a couple of hours and I used about 22 ozs of fluid. That Crap is expensive. One dealer charged me $13.95 for a 16 oz bottle, and another dealer charged me $10.95 for a bottle. Looks the same as the GM DexCool anti-freeze.

I've had the DK Customs / Pro Action 14" trike specific shocks for few years now - first on my 2018 TG and now on my 2020 TG. So I know how much improved the rear suspension is. But what about the front? Oh the front. It is obvious it needs improvement. On my 2007 CVO Ultra I went all out and got the Traxxion Dynamics AK20 cartridge system for it. Fabulous but then again so is the price - About $1,300 installed as I recall. Now on my 2012 CVO Ultra I had installed the H-D Premium Ride Cartridge front suspension. Maybe about half the price of Traxxion but still a great improvement. But alas H-D has nothing for my 2020 TG.

Fast forward to today. I know Kevin at DK really likes the Prograssive FST Monotube front suspension so that was my first inquiry. But no joy. Seems H-D made some changes to the TG front suspension with the 2019 MY and Progressive has no kit for them. Traxxion does have a less expensive new option - a redesigned damper rod and emulator cartridge but in speaking with them it's not been installed on anything after the 2018 MY. They think it will work but want to check things over so I'd have to go there or else ship my forks to them for a three week turnaround. No thanks.

Enter Legend Suspensions with their Axeo dual cartridge front suspension kit. A couple years ago I helped a friend install it on his 2011 CVO Road Glide Ultra and he really likes it . . . and yes they have a kit for my 2020 TG! Yea!!!

So I asked Kevin at DK to order the kit for me and today I completed the installation. Impressions? It is an improvement for sure. And the wife things so too so that is a big, big plus. In fact that is why I started this venture - to improve the ride for her. Me also being a beneficiary is a plus, plus.

Install was pretty straightforward. Not rocket science but still a lot of grunt work. Found a youtube video by a guy installing it on his Road Glide. It was excellent and gave me a lot of insight to the procedure as it's been a few years since I did anything like this. I got 'er done and am pleased with the result. $$$ and time well spent. Heading out on a road trip in a few days and glad to have this completed. Thanks Kevin for such quick availability.

Started it up and it was running a little rough but suddenly smoothed out and sounded better than it ever has. This is an excellent mod for sure.
