Just for grins I bled my clutch today. I am glad I did. The master cylinder had what looked like geld dot 5 fluid. I am anal about fluids. I had already bled my system twice before the recall. It has been under 2 years since it was in the dealers shop for the recall.

I will check the fluid again in a couple hundred miles. I urge y'all to make checking your fluid at least every oil change.

When all Harley's used DOT5 fluid, you didn't experience these problems unless you over-washed your motorcycle. Since 2004, some use it and some don't and if you don't check the cap you aren't sure. Lord help the one that buys a used motorcycle, hard to tell what fluid was put in it.:Shrug:

Very good point for those that are not sure, check first so bad JU JU does not come your way I remember a friend of mine topped his off before a trip to Sturgis. Guess who did an overhaul @ the campgrounds that night? What a mess
