Didn't Bite On CVO Trike

I would agree if no one else has the same issue and it could be proven that the product could cause the issue. GM knows they have a BIG problem with the A8 that they have ignored and kept installing since 2016 with no fix. I watch what I do to new vehicles when they are under warranty but google GM A8 shutter. I don't want to turn this into a GM bash but they have gotten out of control with a poor product with poor customer service.

But ........but ........... Tadge Juechter tells us the problem is with the driver, not the transmission ............. Yeah, right !

Peter it’s a 21” metzler on the front and 18” Goodyear sports on the back, pretty warm here for December so I went for 80 mile or so ride, ride is maybe a little rougher but still messing around with tire pressure, don’t think there is going to be a lot of difference in ride, sure looks a lot better though

I love the look and the color, I wonder what it would look like with the stock rim sizes. I wonder if the front forks off a CVO would help the ride.

My Old Man would always say........Its a poor mechanic that blames the tools....

On a different note went by my dealer today to ask about a chrome front end and they hit me up to trade mine on a white cvo trike or a Tahitian teal trike, neither one they have, both coming in February, said I my be a little interested, but my wife informed me that I was not interested :(

That sucks, I am lucky, as long as the bills are paid my wife lets me do what I want plus I make sure I buy her something of value. She got tired of arguing and I still did what I wanted.

Devils Advocate......You sell a product to someone with a guarantee .....That someone [Knowingly] monkeys with that product' Would you still guarantee it......

Based upon your statement, simply changing to a non H-D logo spark plug would void the powertrain portion of the factory warranty. Ditto the light bulbs. I'll take it one step further. Adding any product not approved by or in the manufactures accessory catalog constitutes a violation of the original factory warranty. And don't even get me started on that debacle known as the Moss-Magnuson act.

Ditto .............. My long standing offer to move her anywhere in the con US all expenses paid still holds. She is restricted only by what Greyhound allows ................. :Coffee:

No i'm basing it on your words......IE; I Forgot to remove the tuner....That tells me you knew that would rase a red flag....

Just to let you know where i'm coming from...

I had my own one man business [For 30 years], And i would guarantee all my work with out a time limit , No questions asked, .....But if the customer had someone else monkey with it, Then come back to me to fix it ...All bets are off.......

We want to believe that companies will do the right thing. In our minds it only makes sense. We are showing our age. The the problem is that the little family owned local dealers are gone as we knew them growing up. Everything is owned by a big corporation, before if a dealer sold 300 cars a year in a small area and started pissing of their customers word would spread quick and that would hurt them bad. Now selling thousands of cars pissing of a few has no real impact so they don't see it affecting the bottom line.

I picked up my Corvette June 9th and they delivered it in the rain, I never noticed the paint issue. I know I should have not accepted it until I could take a good look but I trusted them that it had no issues, it was brand new with 3 miles on it. I noticed the paint issue later that day in my garage. I called the dealer first thing the next morning and explained the issue. I was told that I should read the fine print, my options are repaint the car or deal with it. No other options. They don't care about losing a customer that bought 3 new cars in a year, Your just a number that is replaceable.

I will never buy from a big dealer again. I will look for a family owned dealer and if I pay a little more that's fine just stand behind what you sell. I own a business that sells cranes and would never treat customers poorly. They our the life blood of my company. I do very well because my main competition is a BIG company that doesn't care. I hear it everyday from my customers.

A flash tuner should not have created an issue. It does not cause the vehicle to buy pass any EPA mandated equipment or settings. It does not modify the ECU as does a dyno tune. The new H-D tuners are nothing other than flash tuners. Unlike a Power Commander that does allow the user to override the factory settings. Even the service mgr at Cadillac said the factory rep showed up with an attitude before he even looked at my car or any of the others with powertrain issues. He even went so far as to accuse several other owners of pushing their CTS-V's to hard ......... Wtf? GM markets the car as a 4 door Z06 Corvette for gosh sake.

I agree, been there myself. But a known issue should be looked at case by case. Right now Fassi a crane manufacturer has a recall on a group of F360SE cranes with the base cracking. I have one customer that bought 19 of these 2 years ago and one that we have in the shop is NOT cracked but Fassi is not going to pay for the install of plates to strengthen the base because they missed a 90 day inspection. The missed inspection has not affected the claim at all but they don't care. Do you think they will buy anymore when its time to replace more of their fleet. I bet they don't. I will do the fix and help them with the cost. It makes sense in every way to help. Fassi is only thinking of the bottom line today.

Some how or another she's not taken me up an it. What am I doing wrong ...................

I will try to figure out how I did it first. I have till february to figure it out. While I am thinking try to figure out something she wants really bad. lol

They market the car as the fastest 4 door sedan. But don't drive it as advertised?

Young riders

While walking the pup yesterday , I heard dirt bikes in what ever is left of our wooded area, buzzing around. So I just stoped to see how many and remember the days we rode ATV’s on the aqueduct and thru the area before the golf coarse and condo development came thru.

Then they came on to the road to go explore another area. As they passed me , they slowed down and waved to me. I gave all three a thumbs up 👍 as there might still be hope for a few new young riders.

BTW , that two stroke smell was nice :clapping:.

People at your age shouldn't be playing with fireworks anyway. The VA and county run hospitals have enough issues to deal without y'all adding to the conflict. Sheesh ...........

More money ......... Higher taxes .............. ;) :p

While waiting for my traction control recall to get done I was wondering around Ft Myers dealership (Rock Star Harley). Of course a new white CVO Trike immediately caught my attention. Soon after the CVO caught my attention, I caught the attention of a salesman of course.

I tried to make it clear from the start of our conversation that I would NEVER invest over $50,000 in a motorcycle. He kept throwing out little hints....."we have had this one for three weeks"....."it is getting close to the end of the month"....."I could get the paperwork done and get you on the road in 30 minutes"......you get the idea.

Finally I told him my Tennessee buddy had a deal to trade his 2017 Trike on a white CVO for $24,000 difference out the door. This didn't make him flinch. He insisted they would make me an offer I would trade at.

I came really close to suggesting a trade of my 2019 Trike and $10,000 out the door, which I was pretty sure he wouldn't take. But then I started to worry that he might come close to that figure so I cut off the conversation before it was too late.

Next time I have to take my TG in for something I'm waiting outside!

Twice bit and will be enjoying every mile.

They sell a lot of Trump stuff at the Daytona Flea Market. They always have a line. I bought a lit sign for me front window there.

And therein lies the problem imho. I don't need the Mo-CO. In retrospect, I should have bought the non tour pack Goldwing. Triked it and called it a day.

Mickey, lovin' your cap.

Glad I live in a red state/community. I can wear it in public without issue, unlike in NYC, LA or, SF. Daughter, hubby and, the g kids moved out of the Berkeley, CA area short while ago because of the snowflake population. :clapping:
