HD Oil Cooler Cover #2570063 or #25700634

Anyone have any experience installing a HD Oil Cooler Cover (#2570063 or #25700634) on a 2017 Freewheeler? Of course the Freewheeler isn't listed by Harley as fitting. But we all know how that goes. Thanks.

The 25700633 (Chrome)/25700634 (Black) covers won't fit because of the fan. Same with the Kuryakyn Cover. The fan interferes with the attach bracket and hardware. I don't know about the other P/N you referenced. I wish they would create an alternative for the Freewheelers, but I am not aware of one out there right now. If you find something there would likely be an interest...

Maybe it will. Talk with the Parts Manager at the dealer and see if they will let you unbox and trial fit with an agreement that they will take it back if it does not...

If it does not the Kuryakyn option works too (if you like the cover set for oil cooler, voltage regulator and upper frame)

PS... I thought the fan was stock on 17 Freewheelers.... I could be wrong though.

You sure about that?

If it is a M8 oil cooled there is a fan on the back side of the cooler, stick your finger in there you will feel the blades

Golly! Thank you Jack & Free Bird!! I stuck my hand behind the oil cooler and shazam .... surprise ... surprise ... surprise!!! (Forum Readers - only do this with adult supervision and when your Freewheeler is shut off.) I also went on partsfinder online at Ronnie's HD. The Road King, Street Glide and Road Glide (all listing of fitting in the HD P&A) have no cooling fan and a different oil cooler. Same outside cover though. Thanks for saving me $150. Now .... what next to buy?
