What did you do to Your Tri-Glide Today?

Ordered some hinges for my Tour-Pak today.

Never have worn out hinges before. But I have been feeling more and more slop in the rear hinge over the last 6 months.

Don't know if they're making them cheaper, or if I've just used these more and plum wore them out.

In any case, gotta get them replaced before it breaks and causes bigger problems.

Cleaned the trike up and ready to put in the shed for the winter. Will be in the 30s here all week and I have a house project to do for my daughter. So looks like I am done riding for this year. :(

Suck it up buttercup. We Harley trikers are a tough breed as you have so aptly pointed out in some cool videos. Still, I am glad that I live in Florida. We may have hurricanes but snow is in short supply.

hahahaha , yeah, I got spoiled this Monday and Tuesday riding with my brother both days, and Devin joined us for a couple of hours yesterday...mid to upper 60's and sunny.

Then it was cold, windy and rainy this afternoon...but it had quit raining by the time I headed home...so I did not melt. :D

Washed it.

Road about 15 miles

Filled it up with straight gas and Stabil.

Road it back, plugged in the Solar battery tender and put the cover on it.

May get a few more days here and there but I may be having surgery to remove some stubborn Kidney stones so I will be out of the game for a bit.

Hope it goes well with the stones, AND that you get a bit more riding in.

Today was another 4940 miles since the last oil change. So I was out in the shop this afternoon doing a few things-

Changed the oil and cleaned the oil filter.

Grabbed a bit of oil to send off to Blackstone...just to satisfy my curiosity.

It's been about 4k miles since I swapped out my EBS. This bike has been a spitter since it was new...but even so, at 4k miles the filter is still clean and dry.

On a different note...my bumper has close to 100k miles on it, including a lot of rough roads up in the Yukon and Alaska.

It has held up fine until someone was standing on it, and actually bouncing...one of the brackets cracked, so I removed it for some repair.

TG looks naked without the bumper....plus the crookedly mounted slip-on really shows now! :xzqxz:

Extended rear sfift lever

Been waiting for one of these. Dennis Kirk emailed me that they were back in stock, so I ordered it. Just got it installed and getting ready to test it out. I lowered it a spline or two so it is just above the floorboard. It felt pretty good sitting in the garage.

Got my zerk fittings in...

...going to be installing on my primary case for the shifter shaft. Used to have these on all my bikes, but in the last 10 years or so have not, nor have I felt the need.

However, on my '14 TG it is getting a bit loose. Not sure why, but going to fix it.

Pulled the love Jugs Cool-Master fans off today!!

Pulled the Cool-Masters off today in preparation to install some Mighty Mites.

Will be selling them soon if anyone is interested.

I installed them June 11 and they have just over 9000 miles on them.

Had a problem with the radio on our '12 Triglide cutting out but would start playing again if I toggled the speaker switch. I removed the radio and was going to send it to Iron Cross radio for repair when I call my locall HD dealer to seehow much a new radio is si I'd know how much to insure this radio for when the guy tole me about a refurbishing program HD has that takes less time if I'll let them install the radio. Well this sounded good because this way I don't have the expense of shipping the radio and the chance of it getting damaged so I went for it. Every thing seems to work OK, except the front speakers don't work when the speaker switch is in the full forward position but work in the center position. Gonna have to take it back I guess.

Well, well. I should have looked at the screen closer. When the switch is in the forward position a head-phone pic comes on indicating the speakers aren't going to worK, only the head-phones. Didn't notice that in traffic. But the odd thing was, when the radio was cutting out and I had to toggle the switch to get it to come back on, the radio DID play with the switch in the forward position THEN.

Now that all is said and done I wish I'd have taken the time to go thru Iron cross because they make some up-dates that HD may not have made. Oh well, ain't hind site always 20/20!

HayJim, if the CB is activated and the squelch is not set high enough, that will cause the radio to cut in and out if it’s recieving CB transmissions. Some one else had the same problem and that was the issue. Just a thought.

Stock header pipes

I had Cobra true duals header pipes installed. Anyone need the stock 2016 Triglide headers? Free, just reimburse shipping from Illinois. Merry Christmas.
