Tire Yard art

I have been out of a job for a few weeks so I cant buy anything to work on the Trikes or work on my metal art projects.

BUT I do have a number of tires laying around

Going to try my hand at some old tire yard art

Here is the first one I did

Very talented.....I don't know about in your area, But in mine if i was to put them out on my front lawn with a For sale sign ,[And your metal sculptures] on any given Weekend they would sell in a heartbeat...:Shrug:

Everyone tells me I should sell the things I make. But I really don't want to unless I have to.

Making the things I do is my enjoyment. I don't want to turn it into my work unless I have to.

I do a better job of making things when I just make them because I want to. I made a few Swords and yard art things for people and although I think they turned out good I did not enjoy making them as much as when I just make something because I want to.

BTW, I found some re-bar in the corner. So I have started a Chinese dragon.

I guess i understand where your coming from.....:Shrug: But maybe you can make it for your self.... Enjoy the art for a while....Then pass it on [for a price] to someone else who will also enjoy it....And also sign and date each sculpture....

I started making custom pens after Christmas. It's fun to do and I've come up with some nice designs. I am giving them as gifts to family as their birthday comes around. Several people have asked to buy them. I have pens in four states, now. I'm not in it for the money, but it is nice to have your work Validated like that.

I had a friend years ago that made pens. Nice ones,

We came up in the ranks together. have not talked to him in a long time

He gave me a chunk or iron wood to make a Battle hammer out of one time years ago

Those are nice looking.

I want to get back to counted cross stitch, its very precise and you have to have quiet as it requires counting and concentration.
