We have had a few folks cancel, through no fault of their own, and won't be attending the Maggie Valley Gathering. As I was mowing the lawn last night my mind wandered - Hey! No comments! - and I got to wondering as there may now be openings in the host hotel if some of the people currently in the Microtel will get bumped up to the Best Western, or do they have to call to change lodging.

My wife broke her arm last week and the orthopedic surgeon said that she would not be able to attend the rally. Please cancel my reservation for this event. Hopefully we will be able to attend next year.

Hot mama Kathy and I (along with her sister LuAnn) are booked and good to go. This forum has some of the best folks I have ever met. I am very ready to see Randy and Marge and other good folks on here. We are PUMPED.

For those procrastinating, I just yesterday booked a room at the Best Western. A few rooms are available because of cancellations.

Me too. Gary & I had to cancel because we have to work. Room is available at Best Western. We were really looking forward to it. Work is terribly overrated!

Millie and I cancelled our reservation, I was on the fence, but I've determine it just won't work out, health issues, just got to get them fixed and the time frame is just too tight. I am most disappointed in missing this. Looking forward to next year.

I truly hate it for those who cant make it, and especially for those with health issues, but we have about as many signing up as we do canceling so we will still have between 90 and 100 attend and having done this for quiet a few years now, I can tell you that's the perfect sized group. Everyone will get a chance to meet and get to know everyone and the rides will be manageable. When we got over the 200 mark, it got to be not as intimate and enjoyable, so I am happy with our numbers. We aren't trying to break attendance records at any single gathering, that's why we broke the one original meet into 6 regional meets. This will be a good time folks!

Aw, SORRY........the mountains in the Smokies are really cool and refreshing to ride in this time of the year...except for maybe a warmer ride to get there, most will find the Temps really nice...as Zook stated, sounds like a nice, manageable fun size Group...Looking forward to seeing Everyone. I have the trike and trailer all packed and I've checked it twice. Luggage, rain suit, helmets, iPod, cell phone, trike cover, trailer cover, rain covers for the To Simmons seat, GPS, trike has fresh oil change and gas tank is full. OK gang, what did I forget?

360 miles down in 95° temps today. In Mt Vernon,Ill now. Tomorrow...hopefully gonna get 400-450 miles closer!
