I want to replace my windshield. Is there anything with more scratch resistance than the stock HD shield? Are National Cycle windshields any good?

One that advertises they are the best in scratch resistance is F4 Customs. They can also be bought in various heights. They are popular with the Goldwing crowd but also sell ones for Harleys. Take a look on this page.

I use Clearview shields.... never had a scratching problem.... use soft clothes and
Pledge lemon furniture spray to clean

I do the same thing with mine. If I have a lot of bugs, I will use a spray bottle that is half water, half hydrogen peroxide first. After the bugs are gone, then a quick blast of lemon Pledge.

I have the Freedom Shields Touring Edition which has wider coverage. Been on the trike for 3 yrs with nary a scratch. ‘Course I don’t use a Brillo Pad on it either! :p

Another vote for Freedom Shields Touring style.
(I also ONLY use NOVUS on any of my windshields and always use microfiber).
Never any issues and always look new.
Here’s a video I did a little bit ago on the Freedom Shield windshield. (Highly recommend these windshields if you’re in the market to purchase one!)

How’s wind protection with a curved windshield like this example? Do they cause buffeting?

I have a 9” LRS recurve and it’s great, I’m thinking of getting a tall one but the 9” recurve works so well even in the cold.
