I'm in the market for a touring windshield, so many brands in the market and I'm lost in choosing one. I'm getting a lot of air on the original shield. Need your help to decide. thanks

I love longrideshields.com I’ve bought several for my Triglide and Electra Glide, love the flat top wide with recurve.

longrideshields.com one of the best. They also have a wider shield for touring. Had a Freedom brand it scratched more everytime we cleaned it. Bought the Longride ,clean the same way & 15,000 miles later no problem.

just checked the website and a lot of options.. we'll take me some time.. thanks

Check the For Sale section. I have an 8” Freedom touring windshield for sale.

looks like a pretty good deal and 8" will be below my eyesight. I have a 10" and it bothers me when trying to read signs and when it's dark..

question: how does it feel on the freeway? does the wind beats your face? thanks

tried sending you a message but did not allow me

I love Freedom shields and now run a 6" one which fits me better. The quality can't be beat imo. It is considerably thicker and therefore more rigid than stock or most other aftermarket shields. And the wider touring style helps quite a bit with wind buffeting. So no - I get no wind in my face at highway speed. And I've had not issues whatsoever with scratches. I use only Bug Slide and a microfiber towel. And I polish it sometimes with Nexus plastic polish. Check their website and give them a call for more information.

Thanks for the info Jerry, I'll email you with an offer.

Do your know what height you are after?

Rule of thumb for starters ... if you know the height of your current windshield,

sit on your rig and have someone see where the top of it lands in relation to the tip of your nose.

Use a piece of paper taped to it to gain the height needed.

Should be a reasonably good fit for you and you can measure it for height when ordering your new one.

Problem is that each aftermarket supplier measures somewhat different.

So an 8" height might be different from different suppliers.

Personally I prefer Memphis Shades.

I have a 10" now and it bothers my vision since I'm looking right at the top of the shield, so I think an 8" would be the tip of my nose. I'm still deciding which brand to get. I'll google Memphis Shields for the info.

Thanks
