We have noticed an amazing number of people waving at us or complimenting our Red Wing trike at a stop lite. They Smile and say things like that's really sharp. I'd like that or I'm jealous. This happened but less with our lite blue BMW 1200Cl . This is every day, Kids wave, farmers in fields, I think even a dog that chased me waved. While riding a loud bike 2 months all we got was a snarly look, like your annoying. People like quieter bikes ?
Does the trike look like more fun ? Color Poll anyone ?

waves & smiles while on trike

just stop and think. if you was a none rider of motorcycles and you see a gw trike with trailer and a 2 wheeler. witch do you think. I could ride that, it looks safer, see how quite it is, looks so conferrable and deep down I have always wanted to ride a mc.

I get lots of waves, thumbs up's, compliments and questions too, and I LOVE it!

I think many people (non-riders) see a Trike as a symbol of success. If you ride a Trike...you have made it to the very top of the heap. Like being chauefferd around in a big fancy limo. You not only get to sit in the lap of luxury....you also get to drive the lap :D

The folks who wave and ask us questions are envious of the freedom and comforts we have while.....Rolnon3.

Talk about color? Well I have, what I think is a beautiful custom trike, an "copper-orange" trike. Well I got tons of attention especially at stop lights/signs/slow downs etc. Of course being in Austin, Texas and the Longhorns, that was even better..............until my wife decided she wanted "her own" trike. She got a "Viper Red" Spyder, and NOBODY looks at my trike anymore if we are riding together!!! Of course, she just loves both, the attention and the trike! Oh well.............

Love the comments
That makes us feel better, I'm still trying to get used to this.
I started riding an Indian in the 60's with no license at 14.
We should be content riding anything, Junk or a trike.
Happy Day

Who doesn't love a trike?

Or a symbol that you have good credit.

PC

I get it all the time.
They wave and honk at me like crazy.

I have had people follow me to stores and gas stations just to talk to me about my trike.
A few years back a guy in a truck was taking a picture of my Trike while he was driving and ran into the car in front of him.

Sometimes it gets weird though. A month or so my son said this guy kept stopping by the house while he was doing yard work wanting to see the trike.
He had no idea who the guy was. Still don't know

A weekend or so ago I went on a 650 mile ride. I stopped at McDonald's. I always sit for I can see my trike
This guy pulled in and looked at my trike taking pics
He never came in to McDonalds he just stayed outside with my trike.
When I left I talked to him a bit, I left and he followed me for a few miles then turned off
Strange!!!

1 good thing is I have had a lot of pretty girls want to have their picture taken on it and usually with me.
I don't mind the girls and kids sitting on it as long as I am there to supervise.

Kids love it to

People love Trikes !!!

When my Bride had her Majesty with the Tow Pac on it she got looks & compliments wherever she went. You don't see rigs like that everyday.
Same with the 650 Burgman trike. Its different, Something most folks think they can do, (Ride a trike) & wish they had.

The truth is ......they pity you having to make your way down the road on such a ride. I know, it's a hard truth, but you'll be better off knowing it. :cxtv:

It had to be said ...... and now it's out there. ;)

:D

We ride with two other trikes and every time we stop there is at least one of us get the questions: what is it? where did you get it? How much did it cost? Most of the time they keep it short but there is the occasional time when one person stops then there is someone else comes up asking the same questions. We love riding and don't plan on quitting any time soon. Riding down the road we all get the waves and thumbs we from the cager's and I guess we all like it.

I get a lot of Questions when i park in a Handicapped spot... I just tell them its legal' Its coincided a motorize wheelchair ' And they then walk away with a smile .... And don't slash my tires...

I ride a Black Cherry 08 Goldwing/Hannigan Gen II Trike with matching Hannigan Sierra trailer. I get the same responses as the rest of you! I ride with my brother, brother-in-law, nephew, several cousins and some friends. All of them ride Harley's except one that rides a Goldwing 2 wheeler. There is usually between 8 to 12 of us riding at a time. Seems like when we stop somewhere everyone is interested in my trike! It has about 90% of the chrome that you can put on one. Don't get me wrong, I have rode other name brands and liked them too! My last trike was a Harley. Just didn't like the rough ride or the look. I had an 05 Super Glide 2 wheeler before that. Health issues put me on a trike after not riding for 2 1/2 years. Couldn't stand not riding anymore!! Anyway, seems like people sure do like her!! She's a beauty!

Is your fly open ? :D ........... :xszpv:

I have people all the time stopping me at gas stations and eating places to talk to me about my wing with the tow pac on it. Had a guy the other day told me and the wife while we were out on a 200 mile ride that he had a HD and his wife will not ride with him. She told him if he had a trike she would ride. He siad he did not want a trike right now and so his wife does not ride with him...lol. BTW everyone knows that a red colored trike or bike is the "Fastest". :pepper:

That explains a lot now! I ride a red goldwing with Trip Trike kit and all this time I thought it was my blonde hair... :xzqxz: The other day we went for a ride and stopped to get gas. Grandson was on his 1500 Vulcan with Trip Trike kit and this woman came out of nowhere and JUMPED ON HIS TRIKE!!!! :gah:He didn't know what to say or do. You just don't get on somebody's ride without permission, you know? He had just got through shining her up and this woman got mud all over his running boards. I thought it was funny.

I get that every now and then. Mostly kids though. I do not mind letting kids or girls on my trike as long as I am there. Sometimes I will get talking with another guy and let him sit on it also. But it makes me very mad when there is someone on my trike without me saying its OK

Depending on how hot the girl was I may not be so mad;)

Back (way back) in my younger days when I was still in the Army I pulled this guy off my first trike. Some Big dude. We fought some then he went on his way
Later found out he was a a Sargent first class (E7) from another company in my Battalion (I had just made my Sargent E5 back for the 2nd time)

Ended up working with him some later on when I got out of the Army and was working civil service. (Ft Knox Boat Wright Maintenance plant)

Oh wow, what goes around comes around huh? LOL Oh, and the woman was not HOT, not at all... :p I LOVE letting little children sit on my bike, my husband, not so much. He's afraid they going to scratch my paint. I have to be careful to not let them do that, but I love their parents getting to take photos of them on a big bike. ;)

When i had a Spyder..[Yellow] I can't tell you how many people kids mostly wanted to sit on it, Some even thought it was a converted snowmobile...I never had a problem letting them do so...
Now with my Black Tri-Glide 'I have yet to have anyone ever ask to sit on it, I think thats because the Spyder looked toy like and cute, Where-as the Tri-Glide looks a little intimidating' What with all the exposed [hot] pipes and engine. The Spyder was all coved in Tupperware.. And because of the exposed hot pipes/engine, If asked I wouldn't let a kid sit on my Tri-Glide......:cxtv:

Seems that on a typical ride, I get four or five attaboys in one way or another. Thumbs up, pointing at trike with a big grin, older people saying they could ride one of those, etc. it goes on and on...Lots of peeps ask questions about it....

One big thing about your trike is that the vehicle itself, with the nice trailer behind it, is VERY handsome and a real eye catcher..

Ride on and enjoy your rig.
