Whats up in Forum World?

Hello all,

Randy has done a great job with this forum. He has selected people that he trusts to do the moderating. He started this in Dec of 07. I've been here since Oct 08. What started out as a small ( a couple of hundred ) gathering place for people who wanted to talk trikes has under Randy's guidance grown into over 10k+ members. (Have not looked at the latest figure lately) But even at that we have managed to keep that small feeling. There are (and I'm just guessing) probably a couple of hundred that post daily that keeps that feeling. We are here to help anyone that has a problem or just wants to sit back and read the info. There are members like the Wizard and the Mikes that have shared their knowledge and experience without hesitation. You are not asked to agree with what is posted, but you are asked to respect the member. Randy is here daily contributing to the forum.

But you know what really makes us special is the ability to meet each other in the many gatherings that are done through out the year and across the country. These gathering have been the core to the forum from the very beginning.

Over the years I have been a member of 10 forums. I only go to one daily. The others only when I need information. I post here to share what I have experienced and hoping that it helps someone else. It may not be the answer to anyone but I hope it helps someone.

Thank you Randy for implementing a concept that you had and creating a pleasant place to exchange information and friendship.

I have to admit that watching a good forum fight can be pretty entertaining. Its like when your kooky neighbors have a scream fest and you just pull up a lawn chair and listen and grin, but you don't want it going on in YOUR house, that's the way I feel about our forum.

Isn't it fun, especially when its someone else's forum and headache. Sometimes I see those types of threads and just can't help but toss a coffee can full or gasoline on it and watch the fur fly:laugh:.

Yep, same reason we rent a truck to pull up our stumps with....dang sure not using our own.

Honda, Harley, VW, V-8, Stallion, whatever. We are trikers alike and we love what we do. We love to share our joys with others. TT/TOI gatherings will accent that joy and make it even more fun! My wife and I look forward to sharing at the Kerrville, TX Gathering on Nov. 1/2, riding on our trike! Be there, or be rectangle (worse than being square!).

Has anyone noticed how nasty some of the other cycle forums are getting lately? Where we focus on the exchange of information, pictures, jokes and general good will... oh and riding, yes RIDING...a lot of forums I visit seem to be focused on who's opinion of what is better or more valid than the other guy's oposing opinion, to the point of name calling, chest thumping, threats and such. I suppose some folks just enjoy their daily pissing match.

Yep, you got that right Bazooka. Like on the (HD Forum) now most of, not all but most of those guys are nasty, big bad tough guys. so they think. One person tries to make a point about something and they jump all over them instead of offering some good suggestions. But Hey, maybe their just trying to set the example for HD :Shrug:

since I joined TT in 16 only looked a few times at the others. Prob none in last 3 yrs... great place here ////even u Randy lolololollo

We are only on one other forum on a regular basis. It is like riding on that other forum...always gotta be on high alert, never know when someone is going to sideswipe you.

TrikeTalk feels like home, where you can be yourself and relaxed.

Randy has done a great job here!
