What I found out talking to HD today

Now won't the whole front fender get clogged with mud and crud with such small clearance between the the tire?

Well, I'm not exactly going trail riding... The road is flat and I keep gravel on it, but this time of year, it's wet(Seattle). Even at 5-10 mph, you get a little fling-up behind the wheel.

Thanks for the kind words. I saved my allowance for many moons to buy those wheels.
On top of those, the 9 degree trees for the 21" wheel was $840.
Fender is a Paul Yaffee Thicky. A bargain at $300

I live 1/4 mile off the asphalt. I was concerned about the mud packing the oil cooler fins.
I figured some air with a mudflap is better than no air because of cooler being clogged with dirt and mud. I put a mudflap on the front, trimmed it to about the width of front tire. Then I got the Coolmaster fanned cooler. All good.

Just finished my winter project, PM wheels, new front fender. Now I don't need a flap...View attachment 43180

That is a great looking ride!!!

That is an awesome looking looking ride! :good: Love to front end with the taller wheel and the fender and the wheels in general really set it off! ThumbUp

I've been running this mud flap for almost 2 years with no problems. Keep in mind we don't want our oil to be too cool either, depending on your location. Better a little warm than too cool.
IMG_0408[1].JPG The oil cooler is going to contact cooler air as it moves forward, mud flap or not. My original purpose for the flap was to
stop stones from being kicked up by the front wheel getting into the drive belt as I've already been surprised by a broken drive belt once before.

Do a google search for mudflaps. MIA, POW, or what ever u r looking for. Auto parts stores unlimited search.
