What did you do to your Trike this week?

You are very fortunate, I can't see my trike, it is in the trailer ready to head to Florida. But, before take off, we will make sure she is well strapped down for the trip.

Got the trike home from having a new Avon trike tire put on with new Progressive front spring hope every thing work like they tell me they will :pepper:

Took the trike out of the trailer in Florida and reset all the pressures on the tires..22psi rear..41psi...front.. Cleaned the trike and polished it..
Took a 20 mile ride today, to get the kinks out..Cool 55F and very windy..
Tomorrow is going to be a lot better for riding..
Plenty of bike/trikes on the road here in New Smyrna Beach..

Got the trike out last week and went for a ride. Today I rode it around the block to check out a few things and decided it was too cold so put it back in the shop and did a little cleaning on it:(. At least it will be clean when I want to take it out the next time.

We got caught in a rain storm, so Sheep skin, gel pads, and rain gear is drying out today!
Then, we have to wait till the rain stops so we can wipe all the rain spots off the trike to be ready to cruise again on Saturday.
Hope your winter project on your trike is going well!

2005 GW/ 2012 Road Smith, installed Traxxon springs front forks, new Honda fork oil, Honda seals and bushing top and bottom. Seems like it wants to drive itself. Raised that bad boy about 2".

Bikerbillone, did you take any pictures you can post?
That's great to have it drive and ride better.

Rosy, sorry to report, I don't. This was a very involved operation, starting about 11:15 a.m., ending around 6 p.m. Can I say we found a couple things that were a real mess created by previous so called 'technicians'. I have real problem posting pics, a mental block. I can't seem to get the pic reduced to the right size for posting without screwing up the picture I'm trying to post. Maybe some day I will get the time to attack it again and get it work. Believe you guys are in Ormond Beach and looking to get some good weather, so have a great time.

Is there an adjustment to the back rest. Mine was adjustable, so I could seat further back and not feel cramped.
I also, had an up and down adjustment so it would seat in the small of my back.
Good luck and let us know how you make out.
Thanks

The only adjustment other than up/down that I have tilts fwd/back from vertical unless I'm missing something. I'll monkey with it a bit since the weather is too lousy to ride.:(

The screws that let you move the back rest vertically a couple different positions and the allen head bolt with lock nut to move the back rest forward and back are the only adjustments. By moving the rest to the rear you should be able to set back as far as OEM seat will allow.

Good luck on the adjustment of the backrest. Please let us know how you made out.
Thanks

WOW, where did you get the VW parts for your trike?
Like the mud flaps and new exhaust. Plenty if light in the rear so the cages can see you at night.

That locknut was the culprit in my case, so I moved it to the allen head side of the bracket. All is well.

Great idea on the lights, never...never too many lights in the rear!
Fabulous on the backrest...We thought there was adjustments to make it fit your riding style..

Good news on the Stallion that broke down in our Snowbird Gathering..thought it was mice, chewing on the wires..well..the cover for the fuse box was missing, from previous owner..water got in the fuses and shorted a fuse out..put electric grease on the fuses and made cover for the fuse box, till the new one comes in..all is good so far!

Finally got around to seeing if the trike would fit on the M/C Trailer we last used to haul the two-wheeler around on. Purchased a set of loading ramps since it takes more than one (duh!) to load up, and hooked it up to the wife's Edge. Fortunately, it fits quite well and we'll soon take the RV out of storage for our first trip of the season. We pulled the Honda Phantom last year and hardly noticed it back there.

Wow, that is a very nice looking rig! Sure nice when good things come together.
Let us know how it tows. I am sure you will not have a problem.
What brand of trailer is it? Or is it home made?

Howdy, Rosy. Its a Kendon 3-rail trailer. Tows great; very stable loaded or unloaded...

That's wonderful, when a trailer tows so you don't know it is even there.
Mine isn't as fancy, but it will get my trike there! LOL & it tows like yours! :clapping:

I like your truck and the color coordinated duo, Rosy!

Sure miss my ole pickup; the new F150 is mighty sweet but mighty pricey!

Boy, you got that correct. Mine is 1999 with 140,000 miles, slightly underpowered, but she still runs great and pulled all the way to Florida, and hopefully back to the frozen tundra when we get ready to leave.
Pricing a new F-150 Lariat with good towing equipment and you are looking at $50,000+. Come on 99, keep running sweetie!

Rosy

Truck prices are getting stupid, a friend of mine just got a new 14 king ranch F150 it cost 54K. This old retired guy won't be getting one anytime soon. I just hope my 02 avalanche still has several hundred thousand miles left in her. I hate truck payments!
