What did you do to Your Tri-Glide Today?

Well after our friend on the trip west, had his tour pack lid snatched out of his hand by the wind & cracked his tour pack, I ordered this as soon as we got home. Ultra Brace for the tour pack. Holdslid very steady & I doubt the wind will affect it. $80 is cheaper than a busted tourpack.

ultra brace for harley tour pack from eglide goodies.

Wow. That's some strong wind. Had the Ultra Brace on my last three bikes but just not gotten around to getting one for this 2020 TG. Guess I better get with the program and order one. Thanks for the reminder.

Just ordered . . . but from www.directcycleparts.com

$5 discount from msrp and shipping only $7.95 vs $12.95 + $2.00 for handling if bought direct from E Glide Goodies. Very same item - E Glide Goodies sells on this platform as well as Dennis Kirk, J&P and probably a few more. Of course the 'big guys' have to charge sales tax also.

I'll have to look at this on your TG next month...see if it is better than our 25 cent Safety Tether.

It won't break like the tether's. All metal. Joe's tether snapped right at the edge of the end

I have the OEM Harley Tether (which can break, as Joe knows) and I have a paracord safety/backup tether that cost less than 25 cents to make (as seen in video). Both would have to break to get me in trouble.

I parked under some sort of weird tree last night. This morning there were thousands of tiny needle point drops of sap on the Trike. They were not sticky until the sun beat on them a bit.

I used a microfiber and some waterless cleaner to test a spot to see how difficult they would be to remove. Fortunately they came right off. Gonna finish wiping the whole bike down tomorrow.

Trike is NOT parked under a tree tonight.

Maybe so,but the metal bracket won't break & locks in place when opened. I did see the paracord "fix" ,but like the bracket,so much better,as it is nice & sturdy, locks in place. Lid won't move one way or another till you release it. Can't beat it IMHO.

I agree Bill. Really like the ultra brace. The paracord will definitely work as a back up but like the old style non-retractable cable H-D used to use you have to move it out of the way to close the lid. And with the ultra brace there is no tether to get in you way when the lid is open. Win win I calls it.

Not today but last week when I had the 1K service done. Got the Love Jugs on and the dealership wired them up, also had the close-able vent installed.

If you ride in cold weather and or rain...That Close-Able Vent is a Must...:clapping:..

DK wings installed

After spending most of the day on the Snapper, the rains came down and I got to open the new box from DK. It took me longer to unbox and unwrap the wings than it did to install them. Hopefully tomorrow things will have dried up enough so I can test ride and use the “seat of my pants” meter to test out the heat reduction. New windshield and some more Custom Dynamics lighting is also ordered and on the way!

Yeah, I'm interested in the locking in place feature. Gonna look at Jerrys next month.

Windshield and vent light installed

As always I went out to do one thing and ended up installing the Custom Dynamics vent and light kit and the new windshield! No issues thanks to Custom Dynamics instructions and a YouTube video. Its not raining , YET, so I'm off for a ride :Dorag::clapping:. Etched windshield looks awesome and seems like it will do the trick. We've had rain here every day for over a month.

Ultra brace came in the mail yesterday and I got it installed first thing this morning. Should have done it when I got the 2020 TG but glad I've got it now.

Yeah he is a small shop as is Direct Cycle Parts. Don't know how / why DCP can offer for a bit less on product and shipping but figured I'm supporting the manufacturer either way. BTW the part was shipped direct from eGlide Goodies in CA. DCP doesn't stock it - just takes the order and sends it on over. Great product and I really like to support the 'little guys' when I can.

I’ve been buying from DCP for years. They have the BEST prices and ship lightning fast . In fact I ordered some parts this evening. If it’s not on their site call them , they can get almost anything!

I crawled under my Tri-Glide last night to do an oil change..And and after getting back up to get a pan and some rags and Aspirin....I said to myself...I'm too rich to be doing this, So i drove to my Dealer got there at 9am....They did the oil change while i waited and i was home by 10:30 ...No mess and no fuss....And no sore back..:clapping:... So now i'm good for another 4 thousand miles..

Still enjoy doing my own service. Just takes a little longer. I have one of those long drain pans,so I just remove all 3 plugs & let drain overnight.
