Packed the Wife over to the HD dealer so she could ride HERS home - they replaced the

PAN HARD ROD (2nd time) on extended warr.

Mine has been replaced also (once).......anyone else having this issue?

Its kinda like a torsion bar across the back of the body.

There are no recalls or updates by HD that we are aware of.

I have not heard any one say pan hard rod in a long time

It is an old phrase, folks look at me funny when I use that term Oh well

I installed the DK 1 1/2" deluxe tank lift today. On Mondays ride, the ET on my PowerVision read 235 most all day. After the lift today, I went about 50 miles and the ET stayed at 225-226, even running 75MPH, which was harder than Mondays ride. The air temperature was about 5 degrees cooler today than Monday. During a 45MPH zone, it went down to 212. I'm happy.....:clapping:

Lube Oil, Gaskets and Filter = 90.62

Labor (2.1 hours) = 168.00

Shop Supplies = 10.00

Total = 268.62

Total with tax = 292.13

Wish I knew what they did other than change fluids.

Do I need to go back and demand a kiss?

:laugh: Never seen a mechanic or service writer that I wanted a kiss from.

Look in your owners book...there is a long list of things that are supposed to be done and/or checked at the 10K service. That is what they should have done, and what they charged you for, whether they actually did it or not.

I got tired of the Indy shop not getting the warranty work done on my Tri-Glide...so I went and picked it up today.

Had a nice, long, circuitous ride home.

I put on Chrome Switch Housing's and Chrome Switch Cap's. Had an issue with the reverse cap sticking. Had to use a die grinder to take a little off the housing to make it work. Also installed the Security Siren on it. Had the driveway Mud Jacked yesterday to help keep the mufflers from dragging. On side scraped going up, but worked OK going down. I'm thinking on ordering the DK Custom Convertible Comfort Lift next. (Yes)

Got a new front fender and trim for the trike ordered today, when we were in Maggie Valley, Marc and I had our trikes backed into at a one of our stops. Nothing too bad but it did warp the front fender and break the chrome trim. The guy's insurance company has been great to work with coordinating with our dealer and we got the check for the full amount of the estimate yesterday. Looks like at least 4 weeks for the new fender to come in, we're back riding with the old fender on and the light working so we're good to go for now.

Installed DK custom Stealth LED Driving Lights

Finally took the time to install the Stealth LED Driving Lights that I have had on the bench for a while, took my time with it so it took about 3.5 hours start to finish.

I really like the Posi-tap connectors that came with them, they made tapping into the wiring for the Auxiliary/Passing lights simple.



Will have to make some adjustments later tonight I am sure.

Me and my buddy Dan took our two Triglides out for a nice easy 85 miles. Had a late breakfast at the Waverly Cafe, here in Minnesota. They have the best stuffed hashbrowns.

Temperature hung around the mid to upper 50's. Great time. orag:

Installed the Pro-Action 14" TSS shocks and convertible lift kit. Didn't get started until after lunch and by the time we finished it was nearing rush hour and traffic and I was tired so put off a shakedown ride until tomorrow. Like the look of the lifted back end and looking forward to experiencing a much better ride with the new shocks. Thanks Kevin and DK Customs.

They are great!!!!! I have them adjusted low and wide. My trike now lights the road + the sides up as well as my full size Silverado. Before it lit the road up well but it was dark off to the sides. I drive 25 miles one way through farmland and National forest to get to work at 5 AM so I have lots of deer to be concerned with not to mention coyotes, skunks, raccoons and every now and again a black cow (its actually happened twice this year).

Makes for an interesting ride sometimes.

He was using a brush. Two hours start to finish to apply both colors.

Took me longer than that the night before to get the original factory emblems off with fishing line and Goo-Gone (easy) and removing the rest of the stickum (really hard ):gah:but it was well worth it. Lots of likes and questions.
