What did you do to Your Tri-Glide Today?

Change the front and back brake pads on my 17 Tri-Glide.

Put EBC HH pads on.

Originals had 36500 miles on them and the back especially the right side was almost to the point of no return.

The fronts were only 1/2 to 2/3 gone.

The install went much easier than I expected being my first time.

My wife even did the right front caliper including loosening and torqueing the bolts.

Added two more Ferrite static traps to Old Shiney snap them over the wires and the static gets stopped right there. I wish I would have asked years ago... I was considering swapping out the radio for a new improved one. These little inexpensive goodies saved us big dollars. ride safe Fred

Front tire taken off and went to local independent repair shop , new Avon trike tire mounted. Hopefully reinstall Wednesday or Thursday.

Today was mid-season P.M. checked wheels all fluids air pressure tires and suspension etc. I did have the trike all apart last winter, for serious adjustments. And a quick once over with Pro-40 Polish on the wheels nice time going over things just to be sure we are good to go when we want. Travel Safe Fred/Jeanne

Tire back on ,short test ride. Felt a sort of buzzy feeling in the grips. Not a out of balance condition on tire just felt different. Any other Avon tire uses feel this? Maybe just the chip and seal back roads I was on. Didn't feel with stock Dunlop.

My new Avon front tire felt the same for a real short period, too, but it went away within 50 miles. Maybe just a break-in thing.

After a full debugging, while drying the headlight felt loose. After removing the bling , there was 2 alignment screws that walked out. So I went to my garage to reaim it with locktite on the threads.

Its a after mkt. dual burn led. My bad ,as I never seized the screws when I installed it.

All better now , I hope.

Paid it off and dropped my insurance by $900 per year.

Next on the list;

Love Jugs Mini-Mites

Oil Cooler

Permanent Oil Filter

Fuelmoto E-series Slipons

DK Pro-Action Shocks

Mean City Cycles seat rebuild

At that point I believe it will be as good as I can get it without an engine change.

Hey Kurt,

Mary and I were talking about you just yesterday...hoping to see you later this year.

You will really like the above improvements!

150 miles and ten thousand bugs...

Short ride on Sunday afternoon the insect population sure to a hit they all landed on the faring Cleaned Old Shiney up and checked fluids and air pressures. Cleaned a lot of bugs off the trike today after a 100 mile frozen custard run, it was worth it though.

Filled the tank with 91octane real gas, no alcohol, at my local service station. Starting to see more and more places carrying non-alcohol gas. Anywere from 87 to 93 octane. Running about $.30 a gal higher than 91octane wiith alcohol.

Did nothing with my TG today...or for many days.* It's starting to feel ignored.* :)

Been riding the Softail.

Won't be long though.* Gotta do some maintenance on the TG and then get it ready for a trip we're going on in less than 3 weeks.**

Going to be a first for us.* Riding the Tri Glide in Tijuana traffic and down the Baja California coast.

Many decades ago I would ride my Honda SL350 down in Tijuana...but things have changed!!!* Should be interesting!

Started applying the F11 Top Coat I bought at Sturgis. So far pretty impressive stuff. Had a long discussion with the F11 rep and the NexGen people. TopCoat people made me a deal I couldn't pass....and glad I went their direction.
