Curious if this was this a freebie or an HD($100)Dealer visit.
Went to the dealership the other day. I was thinking my Compensator was making too much noise. The "tech" took it for a ride. Came back and said the Compensator was starting go bad, but was OK to drive for a while. ?? Also said my left muffler was loose. I got under it today and found the rubber cushion slide back. So I just slid it forward and it was no longer making any noise. Everything else was tight.
That’s cutting it close.Stopped for gas this morning on my coffee run…I think I was cutting it a little too close..It took 5.8 gallons to fill up….
You definitely don’t want that compensator to come apart in the primary, it will take out several other components!Dealer visit.

No charge. But found out my warranty was over.Curious if this was this a freebie or an HD($100)
Welcome Roger.I have a new-to-me 2009 Tri Glade Ultra. Fortunately, I previously had a 2008 Ultra Classic and kept all my notes from 10 years of ownership and upgrades. Today's project concerns a fairing mount for my Garmin Zumo.
Lurking about did not reveal whether the Garmin Zumo XT is compatible with “Road Tech Zumo GPS Fairing Mounting Kit, p/n 92338-09, $55, advertised for mounting a Garmin 660/665. The answer is YES, if you also have the Zumo XT motorcycle base. (Probably all Garmin motorcycle bases can attach to the same mount, e.g., a Ram-Mount.) Also, there are parts in the H-D mounting kit that will connect the Zumo XT power lead to the accessory connectors in the headlamp loom.
However, because Garmin's motorcycle base for Zumo-XT is a simple 2-pin power connector, H-D cannot provide a wiring harness kit for audio system integration. Therefore, you must either depend on the Zumo XT external speaker (barely adequate in a car!) or will need to use wireless helmet communicators such as Sena or Cardo.
IMHO, this is a much better solution than still using H-D's '96-'13 comm system. (Caveat: if you need your CB radio, then plug in a handheld mic.) Newer bikes probably need a different fairing mount -- and I don't know if H-D does or will offer one.
Here's the link to the above kit:
