Lots of traffic, very few bikers?

I wonder why, gas is still cheap:p Florida is open, restaurants @ 50%. THe lockdown is winding down. I am going to Daytona for the long week end.;)

I may actually not rain tomorrow, so I'm gonna try to get a ride in.
 
+1 for us as well we live in a socialist draconian domain,with communist social demorats in charge. We must remember this come general elections there is a price to pay for Nazism. Not a happy camper Fred
 
I got a very nice 45 mile ride in before the afternoon rains here in STL. It is supposed to rain the next 4 days.

I stopped and filled up with 93 octane at $2.05 a gallon. I am really liking the new LED gas/voltage gauge.

I thought that I had a gas tank float problem, it turns out the mechanical OEM gauge just did not read accurately. The new gauge is working well.:cool:
 
Rain and More Rain

We have had rain for several days now and more forecast for the next week! Every time I go in the garage my FW's lights start flashing and the horn starts honking; she is ready to go and so am I! Hopefully soon!

Here in STL, we are having a stretch of good weather. I checked my tire pressures, all good & then decided to drain & replace my primary fluid, as I had 1 last quart of HD Formula + to use. It has only been about 5,000 miles & the drained fluid was filthy, I'm assuming due to clutch material. There was no metal on the magnetic drain plug.

I managed to get a quick wax job on the paint & the Lucas speed wax I have used for years continues to impress me.

When I make the switch to Redline, I'm going to try and go longer, but it just bothers me that the primary fluid gets so dirty.

I will get a nice ride in tomorrow, as I have a granddaughter's birthday gift to deliver.:cool:
 
I had to do some real work today, replacing the carburetor on my old Lawn Boy mower.

A new carb/gasket for $12 shipped from Florida. This is my 2nd replacement & the old green girl is running great again.

Tomorrow I will get a nice ride in as I'm going to my youngest sons house & him & my oldest son are venturing out to a local restaurant for dinner to stimulate the economy.

Nice ride today to my sons house, but it was above 90° & too damn hot! I also made my 1st. trip to a restaurant & a sit down dinner. Very nice.
 
Cleaned and oiled my air filter, it was pretty dirty

You probably get a lot of sand where you are.

Last time I checked mine it was not very dirty, but was dry as a bone.

I bought some different oil for it. It's a spray on type, vise the K&N oil you squirt on the pleats.

I washed it for her yesterday so she could get it dirty today.

I hope the rest of you are getting some riding in. It's either 95° here or were getting 3" of rain.

I may try to ride Saturday before the fireworks start. 1 of our local dealers is having a BBQ & I may swing by. I am having a hard time recovering from my early April bout of pneumonia that was pretty severe. It's amazing to me that the pneumonia is harder to recover from than the heart surgery. :)

You are one tough Cowboy -- pneumonia and heart surgery. I'm proud of you.
