What Did You Do To Your Freewheeler Today?

I still have not rode my FW yet as I had VA appointments today. I'm feeling better every day & am thinking Thursday may be the day.

I did use my Avon $20 Visa rebate card for lunch for the 3rd. time.:D

That's the only connection I can make to my Freewheeler & that's sad.:gah:

Your day for riding is going to be the best healing for you

I am excited for you:clapping: Glad you are feeling better;)

I went outside yesterday & did some yard work for 2 hours to test my breathing and endurance & it went well & I'm feeling much better. I also dusted my FW off.

I have a cardiac nurse making a home visit this morning & I had a ride planned after that, but mother nature has different ideas & we have rain moving in.

I will have to shoot for Saturday, make that Sunday.

I still have not got my ride in, but it's coming. I have 3 specialist appointments at the VA Hospital tomorrow & 1 Thursday, so I will have to shoot for a Wednesday ride. :Dorag:

Back in the Saddle Again!

I got a 70 mile ride in & it was fantastic. Not as warm as I hoped at 65 & overcast, but overall, not bad.

Prior to riding, I checked the fluids & tire air pressures. Fluids never move, but the front tire air pressure had dropped to 31psi, but it was 92 when I checked it, so that's to be expected. I set it back to 36. I also did an electrical check & everything is working as it should. I am still happy with the Custom Dynamics Brake Light Modulator I installed prior to my trip to Durango. It's easy to forget about it.

My FW ran great & liked the cool temps. It has never sat for 5 weeks before, not even in the dead of winter.

I have fallen back in love with my baby:clapping: I filled it up & need to add some gas treatment, as I forgot due to being excited after the ride home. The last 400 miles I got 39.8MPG

Good deal, I bet you sleep good tonight;)

I'm planning on other ride tomorrow. It's very windy here in STL today. It's supposed to be around 70 & sunny with less wind tomorrow. After the ride, I'll stop for a couple bags of groceries to justify the trip.

I love the FW for that.:D

UPDATE:

Still windy today, but beautiful, with winds gusting to 20-25mph. I rode about 25 miles, mostly backroads. I went through my old neighborhoods from over 50 years ago & by my 3rd grade school & house we got in 1965, when we moved to STL from KC.

Then I went to the store. The Freewheeler forces you to be a selective shopper due to the limited space & I love it.

In the 40's & raining today, so I will be taking my Element to my doctor appts.

My granddaughters call it a lunch box & the wife calls it a toaster. It's a 15 year old 2004 & just turned over 100,000 miles. That's the advantage of riding bikes/trikes half the time.

Hoping for good news for you from your Dr visit;)

Health wise, I'm doing better & thanks for all the well wishes.

The VA is still making minor adjustments to my meds. I go back Nov.1st

It is raining all day here in STL, but I am planning a ride tomorrow, then back home for an oil/filter change. I may try 1 of the K&N's I have, though I am very pleased with the Mobile 1 filtration. It got an excellent report from Blackstone.

I'm trying Redline in the motor for the 1st time.

I got a 25 mile ride in, stopped at the store & then I replaced my engine oil & filter using a K&N oil filter (171B-black) & Redline 20w50 full synthetic motorcycle oil, both the 1st time using them. I must say, I did like the 17mm nut they put on the end of the filter, it does make it easier. I also like the fact that the K&N filter is sealed around the gasket with shrink wrap & the gasket seems to be lubricated, but I did it anyway when I filled the filter 1/2 way full & let it sit for 15 minutes. I started with 4 quarts of oil-6 ounces. I ran it for 5 minutes & will check it cold before my next ride'

I wanted to mention this is my 3rd time using the orange HD M8 oil filter drain thingy & the 1st 2 times it worked fine & this time, not so much.:gah: It must have been cockpit error.

Well, the weather in STL is total slop. It's rained all night & will keep raining all day today with temps in the low 40's. It may turn to flurries later.

I'm headed back to the VA Hospital at 6am for another procedure called a TEE.

A camera down the throat to get a good look at the heart while it's pumping away, without your lungs & ribs blocking the view. I have to miss my grandkids on Halloween, but the weather may ruin that anyway.

Everyone have a nice Halloween.
