Weird, High Pitched Noise

2015 Tri Glide 6,000 miles

Today, as I was leaving a gas station, I pulled out, turning, and hit a rather deep pot hole. I heard a very loud whine from the left rear of the trike. There was no noticeable performance loss, or traction, and the noise lasted only a second or two. It returned just as I pulled over to check it, and again it went away. It sounded like squealing brakes, or even that high pitched noise you hear in reverse. The trike ran fine for the 100 miles it took me to get home and when I closely inspected the belt, there appears to be markings about 1/4" on the inboard side of the belt. Not indentations, but noticeable. Any clues of suggestion would be really helpful.

Thanks
