It was 70 degrees here yesterday. Good day for riding. Took a 100 ride, returned home, decided to leave again,, started bike....apparently the solenoid contacts froze in a closed position. Turned off key..... BIKE KEPT RUNNING. Had to pull the side cover off, take the negative ground off. Started it back up, worked normally,, but time to buy a new solenoid. Anyone ever have that happen?

Hey there dogman. Got a good friend over there in the person of Jim McGregor. He rides a 2006 Wing but hasn't decided yet to free up the bucks and put a trike kit on it. Lives on New Haven Rd.

seems there was a thread on this subject on gl1800 riders forum a while back and it was a bad ground wire under the seat . You might try the search section over there.
