Same here, this will be our 1st. trike rally too after many two wheel rally,s.
We are going to incorperate a trip back to Christine's home town of San Angelo Tx. on our way out.

Christine is going to ride her Tg out a week or so before I ride out to spend some time with her mother & sister.<br />
We did the same thing last aug. & then rode down to Galveston for a few days & back home again. We took old Rt 90 instead of I-10 back & had a good trip.<br />
Maybe we can hook up & cruise around San Angelo?

pepper. Yippee!! Tommy made our reservations at the Best Western in Eureka Springs for the TT 2013 rally. Now all I need to do is register for our I. D. badges. This may have already been asked, but I haven't read all the replys,-- will there be TT rally tee shirts??

LOL!! Nana---You're excited, not half as much as me!! Tommy says he is wrapping me in bubble wrap so if I fall down I won't break anymore bones. Just between you and me, I think he misses me when I'm not able to go with him on trips. LOL, my doctor even said he would help Tommy with wrapping. Hmmm, <img src="images/smilies/redface.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Blush" class="inlineimg" /> that doesn't sound very nice, but honestly, I think they mean well. (at least I hope so).

Hey everyone. I just got my reservation at BW for the June trip. This will be my first post-retirement ride. Bailing out of teaching June 6th. I' ll be riding out solo from Central Florida. Ace, we've got a number of members who come up from Florida. Send a PM to Gorilla as the rally gets closer. He and his wife ride their trikes up from the Keys. But there are others as well. Maybe after my next surgery I'll be fit to join in on the fun next year.
SO my wife and I are planning on the Ride to the Wall in DC and will be in DC until May 29 then in upstate NY for Americade Rally in Lake George NY from June 3-9. If we take a side trip to Michigan to see family we may be able to time our return just right for this to be our next to last stop on our big spring road trip.

For those coming to Eureka Springs in June, there are several online sites sponsored by Arkansas Tourism. Here's one: Motorcycle road trips - Arkansas motorcycle trips
Getting to Eureka is as much fun as being here. From Interstate 40, there are at least five scenic two lane highways leading north (65, 7, 23 (pig trail), 21, 71 and interstate 540. Crossing east/west between all these highways are 16, 412, 12 and 62. Plenty of gas stations and cafe's on all routes except 16 (very remote but a great ride).
If you are coming down through Missouri, there are some great rides but I'm not familiar with them.
I'm not sure if there are any scheduled rides during the rally so feel free to contact me by email with any questions.
As for Do's and Don'ts, Eureka loves bikers and trikers, especially those who take time to shop around. Lot's of great restaurants from "bar and grill" to high end menus. There is a great trolley system which is a good way to see the sights. Parking can be trickey but not impossible.

Thanks for the tips and recommendations! We do have some members who are getting ride routes together for the rally. The ride schedules will be posted as soon as they are finalized. We are all looking forward to getting together this June!
Finding great rides from Eureka Springs (simplified):
Set a waypoint of your (or someone you're riding with) GPS to the location at which you are staying. Name this "Start", "Hotel" or something similar.
Pick a direction and ride. Choose interesting looking roads on a whim.
When it is time to go back, choose starting waypoint to get back to Start/Hotel/etc.

Am liking the time frame as I like the idea of missing weekend traffic. 1762 km for us down, so it will be our longest trip via trike to date.
16-17 hours driving time will need to stop on the way down any suggestions?
